The Reason why most of the songs have Mexican Art on them is because they (The Mexicans) appreciated the music when we(Black People) abandoned the classic sound, and style of this good music........I personally don't have a problem with my Brown brothers and I am glad someone feels passionate enough about the music to keep it alive!!!!!! Peace!!! Unific29
I LOVE THIS SONG, IT BRING BACK SO MANY MEMORIES THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR SHARING, HEY LOVE THIS IS A TUNE FOR MY SOUL. HEY LOVE. AND I LOVE TO HEAR STEVIE WONDER SING HEY LOVE. I LOVE BOTH OF THEM.
I grew up in LA and all the SA's loved this music just like we did, you see we shared the same pain in our sets, the addictions, the young lives wasted, the hopelessness of project life with it's survival of the fittest mind set. As I write this I am holding back tears thinking about how people who have so much in common and now were killing each other!! for what! It's a god damn shame! Who benefits? Who benefits? from our people's misery?
This is a beautiful song enjoy with peace, everyone has to show RESPECT for the ARTISTS and their HARD WORK for the songs they made. I believe they made them out of LOVE, show respect PEACE !!!!
How right you are AnAmcit an I too am so glad I was a part of this era ... So many awesome memories with this song an soo many others that were out around the same time ... Thank you very much for the smile on me face ... aaron m ... long live the memories cheer's.
This song is truly the bomb! I wanna say I heard it before, but After playing it 20+ times or more...It still sounds like the first time so I kinda feel you on that one mr1lover! you have to truly appreciate CZcams...the radio can't touch this!
dame....listening to all this reminds me of the true brother i had that i lost. May he rest in peace. I miss you brother. I am from new mexico and the oldies here are just as good as every where because it is like we are all united here with the passion of oldies and what it represents. Mush love and respect for the tunes of oldies.
It is impossible for any one person to catch everything in their genre of music...this one I missed! I love it. It reminds me of some of the stuff by the Force MD's of the 80's. Thank you. Peace
A beautiful love song that I have on my Ipod and my cellphone. It never aired in Cleveland when released so I didn't hear this song until nearly three decades later. It's their finest IMO.
Wow... was looking for Oo La We, but can't find it on CZcams..wish someone would post it... I'm from California & loved the Younghearts a lonng time! Ronnie Preyer, Charles, Bobby & all...
Reyes man, You ain't nothing to be playin with! I like the fact that you have those hard to find cuts posted for those of us who can appreciate great music that touches the soul and takes one back like this sweet number. Keep them coming man, please keep them coming!
My memories of this and other songs of the era sustain me in this age of non-music and disrespect for women. So glad I was a part of it and not apart from it.
I remember this group very well. The song Girls Girls Girls was a big hit and you could be sure everyone would be on the dance floor. Not sure if they were very big outside of California,.
It is about RESPECT for the CULTURE and the MUSIC. I am not going to let anybody disrespect my CULTURE I do not care what color you are. My GREAT GREAT GREATGRAND PARENTS worked hard to build this country and some of them died.
Jesus, what a beautiful song! Never heard of this group, how can that be? I'm 61, been listening to this kind of music all my life, but never heard of the Younghearts. Where are they, who are they, why can't I find this song to buy anywhere? Please, someone, have pity on me and contact me and we'll trade music, or something. Help!!!!
Well, I was kinda lookin for a different Hey Love but it turns out I like this one, too. Funny I never heard of these people; I thought my parents played all the good stuff for us kids while we were growing up. Gotta give Dad a call and find out where he was on this one.
And i STILL stand by my remark because its true. A Lot (AND I DIDN'T SAY ALL!!) black people DIDN'T PRESERVE, DIDN'T PROTECT,DIDN'T OUR MUSIC!!!! And about there being a lot of MEXICANS that don't like blacks but like our music....SO WHAT! There are a lot of people that don't care for one another on this wretched earth!!! I RESPECT my brown people that love, and respect the MUSIC....WAKE UP KAREN! It ain't about YOU! It's about THE MUSIC. Next time before you decide to attack someone READ!
True. There was an entire compilation of the 70's Philly soul sound done in a two-album set called "Hey Love" named after the Delfonics tune and I was looking for that. There was a goofy commercial for it ("Get your own, my brotha!") done in the 80's I think. My parents would play the collection when we were driving around and I missed it, but I found it. Quite the collection. Glad I stumbled upon this, though!
To Berths V glad you like the post when I did it I wanted the younger groups to here real music the people our age grew with. this old Vato dance away the night away if I had a fine lady in my arms
@BackBlocks09 Sorry man but the Mexicans were deep into R&B in the 60s and 70s. They also formed groups with Black folk. They are a part of Hip Hop today. Black music is worldwide and dynamic. There are even soul radio stations and airplay in China. We are one, even those that don't believe it, we are ONE!!!
