- Hi Guys,
After visiting a couple of the BT offices in London, I decided to go to the main event, that is, the relatively new HQ at 1 Braham Square.
And it did not disappoint....
We get to meet more tyrant security who for some reason rubbed me the wrong way and as such I went out my way to wind them up to the next degree.
We also got to meet some really nice people in this one which certainly gave a silver lining to the bad interactions.

Human psychology is so fascinating, some people are so easily manipulated into believing you can't film from a public street.
I know, lets design a building with floor to ceiling glass, facing on to a busy street, and then protest when people look into it ! Outrageous !

UNBELIEVABLE!!! A security guard following you around the streets of London. Don't you have to be a police officer to do that? Is he going so far beyond his lawful brief as a security guard for a shop that he is breaking the law? Is he impersonating a police officer as well as trying to impersonate a human being?

Love the people that are fuming but try to put a smile on their face to hide it! They're usually the ones you have to look out for coz they look all happy but can snap at a moments notice!
Their authority does not extend out onto the street and therefore cannot tell you what to do or what to wear etc. They are only responsible for what happens on their premises.

It should be a rule that the security industry only employ people who have at least a basic level of communication skills in the English language and possibly some knowledge of the freedom laws.

Yes, and everyone of them have dozens of 'legal' cameras 'watching you' without your consent. Some like News and TV companies have thousands of hours of collected film work sitting on their shelves, and again they know it was 'legally' collected. But get aggressive, sassy and all privacy protective when it's them being filmed.
BT seem short of a woodpile for this security guy.

Just a suggestion which seems to work great for other auditors. Instead of answering 'Not allowed' with "yes I'm allowed of course I am". Which often results in them walking off- Answer, "really, why am I not allowed"?
Then see what lies they initially come up with. Feigning ignorance at first results in them digging themselves a deeper holes with blatant lies and makes for good entertainment :D

Massive modern buildings with very poorly trained security guard’s. Not a good first impression for the company. But we can all have a good laugh.

I am amazed after years of many people going around filming with a camera and the social media coverage from it that people (security guards/police) still think you cannot film what you see from public areas....How can they get it so wrong...
We could do with specific legislation which will clarify what should happen to security staff who overstep their remit.

The toothless security badge company SIA seem happy to take the money but don’t take action against their misbehaving members neither do the police. Simply follow the rules of displaying to members of the public in case they wish to scrutinise those who may get aggressive or harassing while under the rules of SIA.
If I had to vote for the best auditor in the UK you would always come top of the list. Your demeanor and interlect far surpasses most in this line of work. Thanks for all your content
Hands down. The first auditor I came across and nobody else has come close, though I did see where the auditor=dickhead generalisation comes from.
