- Please excuse the background noise as the harbor was quite busy when I did this!
Also, this is my first kayak so I am learning and enjoying as I go.
Got interested in kayaks, watched a lot of vids and learned about drop stitch technology. Happened to be at a new to me sporting goods store in the Bay Area named Decathlon and saw this two seater with a drop stitched floor (5 PSI) and relatively high pressure (3 PSI) pontoons for reasonable cost. I like that the seating is slightly elevated, the firm floor and the very good stability.
This is just the unbagging and setup as I meant to take some drone vids but apparently the seagulls in the area don't appreciate that so I will have to figure another way for the next vid.
This was a good video you did of the kayak. I like how it comes in its own bag so you know definitely for sure it will fit in the bag. I also like how it gives instruction on each part to fill up with air. I would like to see how it floats in the water. I also like your flip-flops you are wearing. I am a huge flip flops fan because I have big very very extremely wide feet sz15 6 E wide with very chubby fat wide toes that are equally straight across making my foot very very wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. My foot outgrew shoes , socks , & boots when I was 18 years old & flip flops is the only footwear that will barely and i mean barely fit my foot because of my toes being wider than the flip flops straps. This is why I'm a huge fan of flip-flops & plus two I was raised up wearing flip-flops since I was born with very very extremely wide feet when I was a baby. Good video thanks for sharing.
I am glad you enjoyed the video! As for the flip flops - tsinelas, makes the little piggies breath better . . . 😉
I attempted to have my drone film footage of me and kayak in the water but the seagulls were not having any of it! I will try again as the weather has been gorgeous!
@@lesdmess845 Oh man flip flops are so awesome. Yes I can definitely agree with you on that it makes the whale I can't say little for me i have to say big piggies breath better. My toes sweat really easy because of them being very fat & I cannot stand sweaty feet. I'm surprised the seagull wasn't having that. Hopefully next time it'll work out great for you. Thank you for replying back sir I really appreciate that.
Hi, thanks for the video, can you show us the kayak when navigating ?
Just to be sure I'm a complete noob and have no reference to judge this and likely my paddling technique is not very efficient either. However, was out at Elkhorn Slough and I thought I faired well getting back to the launch ramp against a good breeze as well as current. I'll see if I can get a vid to show this characteristic but so far so good.
Do a video of packing it up , is it just me cos to get it back into the small bag .is a task and a half. !
do you have Decahtlon in USA also ???
Unfortunately they closed the only 2 stores. Both were located in the San Francisco bay area.
Good kayak? Worth buying?
Been a year since I first got and started using it and I have to say it's worth it to me considering it's the most expensive inflatable boat I've bought to date.
430lbs…mine is only 340lbs capacity. WTf!
Same model Itiwit X100+ but yours is listed as 340lbs rather than 430lbs as shown on the bag, on the kayak and posted on the Decathlon site?
Buono oppure prendo altro? Bello ma pare scadente in materiali
5 PSI drop stitch floor and 3 PSI pontoons and can support 2 people up to 430 lbs is a good indication of quality of the material and seams. You might compare those specs to others you are considering. Of course only time will tell and so far so good. @@lesdmess845 vulcain s355 7psi, dropstitch 500euro.
@@danielesampra @ 7psi, you can almost stand on that floor! The side pontoons are only up to 1.45 psi. When I first got this, drop stitch kayaks were still relatively new so I'm glad we're getting more options to enjoy!
@@lesdmess845 thanks... Vulcain good? Yes...
@@danielesampra This X100+ is the only kayak I've known so I am not an expert. The Vulcain Supercharged looks to have good specs and states it's even good for white water class 3 for similar price as the X100+ a good consideration www.nootica.com/rockside-vulcain-supercharged-inflatable-kayak-2-person.html
If you want a real kayak there is no need for this !! 😢
I am only an occasional leisure kayaker and haven't found a need to upgrade. What do you use?
