Haven't met too many actual Cowboys fans, have you? Not the multitude of bandwagoners who pull their Aikman or Irvin jersey out of mothballs any time the Cowboys are over .500 only to trade it for a Yankees or Dodgers cap as soon as the Wild Card round is over, but actual, honest to Lucifer Cowboys fans. Those actual fans are _all_ like Scooter.

The 49ers have to win at least 5 of 6 at the beginning of the season because the last 11 game stretch is absolute hell. 9 games of the last 11 games will be against last years playoff teams including all the teams they played in the playoffs last year including the Cheifs. They also have to play 4 weeks on short rest while 4 other teams get to play them on their bye weeks with a rest day disadvantage of -16 days versus their opponents. 4 of their last 6 games they will also have to be traveling to the east coast against projected playoff teams with a total traveling time of nearly 26000 miles in their schedule. It’s going to be a tough season for the 49ers if they can get past this gauntlet. I wouldn’t be surprised if they went something like 10-7, 11-6 this year even if they are a good team.

Our schedule is much better this year. Last year's was poorly balanced, but we sucked anyway, so might as well have had a bad schedule 😁
Am I the only one that's not that worried? The only two teams that have me worried are the Chiefs (even if we do get extra time to rest) and the Bills. We've shown that we can beat when they've been in better shape. The Seachickens don't have their guru to coach Geno into a good season and the Rams don't have Aaron Donald.
If injuries happen, then I'd be worried.

49ers second half schedule is just brutal. With coast to coast travel, rest days, playing teams off their bye weeks, the NFL is really throwing this team through the gauntlet. Staying healthy is going to be a big challenge for the gang this coming season.
If they win 12 games like last season I’ll be surprised. I saw that schedule and their major rest day disadvantage and was like 😳🤯! I hope they utilize their backup running backs more and have better player depth than last year. The 49ers are going to need it. It was quite clear the schedule makers don’t want the 49ers to be the top seed and they probably accomplished that.
This was eagles last year. 3 teams in a row off 10 days rest during the gauntlet. I don’t think it will go the same, but it will be tough. At least unlike the Eagles last year, the Niners have a legitimate offensive coach and playbook.
The Strouds really accomplished a lot in the few moments they wore the Script Writer's Coat.
Except screw those two paywall games.

As a Bengals fan, I love how accurately Tom depicts our obsession with Joe Burrow.
Well, our team's entire strategy revolves around Burrow's performance, so it makes sense.
First time in my lifetime I've looked at the Lions schedule and thought there are no obvious losses. Don't get me wrong, they won't go 17-0, but they have enough talent that they can hold their own with anybody.
You guys are going to be very good this year and given the gauntlet the 49ers have to face at the last half of the season it will be tough to beat you guys in the regular season (even with favorable conditions in the playoffs like we had last year it was tough beating the Lions).
First time in a long time I wasn't very excited to see the schedule for the Lions. In years past I always wanted to see an easy opponent at home in game one to get us off to a good start. Now, eh, we'll beat whoever, wherever. Last year I wasn't thrilled with teh Chiefs right off, but I learned from that. As for prime time games being weird, used to be putting Lions and prime time games in the same sentence this time of year could only be done by mixing in 'teams that have no', but it's a new era and I plan to enjoy it however many seasons it lasts.

How are the Steelers playing the Eagles Ravens and Chiefs in 10 days? The last 8 games of the season are Ravens (2), Bengals (2), Browns (2), Eagles, and Chiefs. The only playoff chance is if we start the season 6-3 or 7-2

@@StillBolted Every team has to deal with injuries throughout the season. We had an interim HC that had never been a HC before, a new OC, a rookie QB with a handful of starts, and injuries of our own. Our team was far form being "optimal" during that game.
Let's not forget about The first game win.
In Harbaugh we trust. You'll will see a different product this coming season. One must first get unF'd. Some say the players intentionally threw that last game to make sure Staley got fired; but to make a claim of ownership when your team does not have a quarterback.

As a Bears fan, its odd not having division game until week 11, and then having 6 out of the last 7 be division games.
The way that I see it, if the Bears can handle their business up to the bye week...and "If" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, then the only real danger to them is the six games within the division.
Disclaimer: "If" being the operative word.
@@SonicSlicer I can see them going 4-2 leading into the bye (The Texans and the Chargers games are going to be tough ones). The 6 division games with the Seahawks and 49ers mixed in are going to be a major challenge.

I do find it amazing how 3 AFC North teams have like top 5/top 10 most brutal schedules
It's not amazing it's just that the AFC North is the toughest division so the team's schedules will always be weighted as more difficult.

Ravens fan here: don't want to be biased but we have the hardest schedule in the AFC North
Other than the NFC East and AFC North teams that we all face, we face the best teams in the AFC East, AFC South and NFC South - Bills, Texans and Bucs (division winners all of them), whereas the Bengals face the Patriots, Titans and Panthers, Steelers face the Jets, Colts and Falcons, and Browns face Fins, Jags and Saints (probably second hardest in the AFC North). Schedule making is based on previous year's standings and which intra conference and cross conference teams you last played, but teams are basically rewarded a weaker schedule after being bad, which makes little sense to me.
And you also face us Chiefs week 1!

Nah, as a Bengals fan, Steelers got the worst schedule out of the NFL. Y'all have the worst "matchups" in the AFC North though.
But nothing is worse than what the Steelers' 2nd half looks like.
Starting week 11: Ravens, Browns, Bengals, Browns, Eagles, Ravens, Chiefs, Bengals.
Plus, the Eagles-Ravens-Chiefs matchups are all within an 11 day span with Chiefs on Christmas.
That's just Brutal no matter how you look at it.

@@paulozhan Well, yeah, that is what happens when the team wins the division. That's why they had the easier matchups than the Bengals last season as the Bengals had won the division the season prior.
