A quick evening session at the Glebe fishery where I'm fishing for big carp in the margins. The plan is to try and catch a double figure fish on the new margin pole. Bait for the evening is maggots, worms and groundbait and using simple kit I have a brilliant short session. - Sport
You make it look so easy playing big carp and get them in unbelievably quickly. I use the same set up for margins elastic/line wise at my local lakes and the 6 and 7 pounders take me for a ride never mind anything bigger

Had my first match ton off Ugly's way back in 2003 on an ACA fundraiser - peg 46 I think it was. Lovely place! Average stamp wasn't quite as beasty bsck then from memory.

Rob, quick question. If you don't have natural deep margins, do you simply fish this method a little further out, until you find a decent depth for the time of year? We'll done on the no-net, it shows the type of angler you really are, a fish caring one.
I’d try and find the ideal depth even if it wasn’t close to the bank ..... this time of year 18inches - two feet is about right

It annoys the knickers off me when.. As soon as a good angler wins a big prize they start blurting out all the tricks of our trade... You still get a thumbs up from me though... This approach has won me more money than any other.. ;D
