Always use the corn liquid out of the can and rinsing water to mix your ground bait in. I was taught to do this 50 years ago for going after Bream and Tench. The smell of the juice will keep the fish in the swim even when they,ve cleared the ground bait and free offerings. That was with cage feeders and balling in .

For the wild carp I fish for here in the US, as well as some other species such as buffalo, catfish, and bullhead, sweetcorn is a great attractor as well as hookbait.
But here they aren’t raised on pellet, and few use pellet as either chum or hookbait.

Forty minutes flies by when there's loads of tips, tricks and tit-bits of info thrown in.
My thoughts are they're on it or they're not...and if you've opened a whole tin only to have it fail then it gets frustrating, then you don't open a tin, then you leave it at home.....and Sod's Law comes into effect, and you get bettered by someone who hasn't fallen out with "The Kernel". Purely down to perseverance methinks, and one day it works and you're handing out the beatings.
Nice one Joe, again, and thanks.

Fantastic video as usual Joe, love watching you fishing as you always talk about what is going through your mind with what you think needs to be done to improve your fishing. I know what you mean about corn as the fishery I normally use don't respond to corn no matter what I use it with whereas other fisheries have responded well to corn. Come on everyone subscribe to Joe's channel as you get lots of great videos that are really informative free of charge to watch. By the way Joe can you do a video on bomb and pellets

I feel exactly the same, I've been fishing since I was, 10, I'm 60 now, I've never give corn a serious chance, I take corn at times, put a peice on, my confidence is so low, I'll give it seconds, not minutes before it's binned, I end up eating the corn 😂

Glad to hear I'm not alone on this, thought I was going crazy. I'm on holiday at the moment, but managed to find a complex of lakes in the middle of nowhere and decided I'd try showing my dad how to fish a waggler. Tackle shop out of maggots, but was told that corn is working really well.
Nothing for over an hour, besides a few baby roach. Switched over to banded 6mm pellet and same for feeding, had over 20 carp between us.
The amount of times I've brought corn with me to matches, caught really well on other baits and have tried corn over the top just to see, to poor results, is astonishing.
Sorry for the essay, but it really does feel like a conspiracy!

Fish are very much like humans when it comes to eating,we rarely eat anything on its own, breakfast, lunch or dinner and we love our gravys and sauces! Carp anglers know spod mixes work and in amongst it all is the cherry on top! I guess this is why we pack our feeders with lots of goodies cos it works. Nice one joe.

I enjoyed that as I like fishing corn on a couple of venues where carp up to 8lbs and big F1’s over 6lbs live. The corn also works up in the water. Only thing is why waste £3 on a tin of F1 corn when you wash it off. I get 5 tins of Audi or Lidl corn for the same price as sonubaits corn. I can add a food flavour for next to nothing if I want.

Ha ha I wouldn't go that far. I'd still take a corn based match win :)

Does it matter, as anglers we all learn from each other and that is how we improve our fishing and sometimes one angler can try another ones method and find ways to improve upon it

Your not the real deal buddy....dismissing corn???.....WTF???......stick to your pellets 🥱.....and yet all the videos I've seen ...not one angler ( match fishermen).....have I seen the ultimate feed bait?....haven't fished a match for ages ......but lay a penny to a pound ....would feel extremely confident i would frame using this....and completely legal lol 😉😊

Add liquid to your corn .salted caramel. Power scopex or banoffee haze .it pulls fish in quicker .as it leaks of quick and creates an attractive cloud ..
