There’s also another incident I’ll never forget where Puyol was SLAPPED in the face by a player and he literally just smiled and applauded the player(sarcastically) When his teammates like Ronaldinho and Deco rushed in to attack the player who slapped him, Puyol made sure none of them got near him.....i swear, i've never seen anything like that with any other player, there isn't a player like him...#RESPECT

Whereas Figo on his return to camp nou he literally received hell from the fans !! from banners dissing him, objects thrown at him "including a pig head shown in this clip" etc... I mean both of em were one of the greats, and both of em joined Real Madrid directly from Barcelona, Laudrup had it lightly from the fans, whilst Figo went through hell that game... why is that ?
because Figo was so much more to Barcelona than laudrup was. Figo embodied the club, he played for the badge, he was the club captain, he pledged ultimate allegiance, he worked as hard as he could every game and his stats reflect that. he left purely for money and fame, whereas laudrup was almost forced out of the club after a disagreement with Cruyff. im not even a Barca fan, but that Figo move was horrific
