Bulgaria defeated mighty west Germany the defending champion in the quarter final was the most remarkable display in US 94 world cup. Letchkov and Stoichkov netted with spectacular header and free-kick respectively.
Hristo Stoichkov's attitude is exemplary: he doesn't complain at all while he is substituted and then he keeps on encouraging his teammates. He was the perfect team player.

But after W.Rooney equalised, you could clearly see that Bara just changed gear and upped the pace. IMO, no team (club or international) would have got the better of Barca that night. Hand on heart, I'm not a UTD fan. But that night, that I actually felt sorry for UTD as the game was actually uncompetitive. There was nothing UTD could have done that night to prevent Barca doing what they did to them. Totally destroy them, that is.
