Wow just now discovered your channel you have very good content.I’ve always heard that putty will shrink I’ve personally never had it happen.I’ve used that same primer in the can and it’s great stuff for fixing things in the booth quick .our former manager threw away our tube of spot putty but will request another tube from our supplier since it always worked for me 👍

Can you wet sand with water base paint ? Or is it solvent paint?

Your not supposed to wet sand waterborne paint but in some cases I think you can get away with it but Iam not 100 percent sure it’s been years since I painted waterborne paint. Check with the paint technician first just to be safe.

How long do you need to wait before applying Base coat over the Rust-Oleum primer?

It usually drys pretty quickly. You have apply light coats and wait at least 5 minutes between each coat to apply another coat of primer. Usually three to four coats of primer will do depending on how you finished your bodywork. So give it five to 10 minutes to dry and touch it with your finger and if it leaves a finger print then it needs more time to dry. You can also use a hair dryer to help speed up the drying process. Keep the hair dryer at least 12 inches away from the panel and always keep it moving side to side.
