Transitioning from Episode #2, with Erika Reineke, we take a look at how someone taller should properly sail downwind in various conditions. Erik Bowers gives us some excellent tips and instructions on how we can achieve maximum balance, stability, and speed in all conditions while sailing downwind. Erik Bowers is a former Olympic level laser sailor who has been coaching at Lauderdale Yacht Club for 3 years now. Erik has many accolades under his belt, including recently winning the 2019 Melges 14 US National Championship.

I don't know about all these technicalities but I do know that in a strong wind, sailing downwind in a Laser is terrifying right up until the moment you get tossed over the side to watch your boat sail off into the sunset.
