this was probably my favorite part of the REmake trying for All Skulls Challenges never got boring with the Merchant and Ashley cheering you on and this absolute banger playing in the background
RE4 is definitely deserving of GOTY. Yes it’s a remake, but such a departure from what a “remake” usually means, that it’s essentially its own game. They knocked it out of the damn park
I mean, RE2 Remake is GOTY to a lot of reviewers so it's not impossible. Capcom sure set the bar of remaking games high with their RE remakes. Sure, they had a hiccup with RE3 Remake, but they seem to learn their lessons.
The orchestra will probably play the credits theme, the one with vocals as RE2R but I will love to see the GOTY award orchestra finish with this energized track

The fact Ashley and Luis could watch you slay those targets slapped. It was amazing. In the original game, Leon always went in there alone. I was so happy Ashley could see how badass our boy was.

This game is so deserving of the GOTY win, and this isn't just bias or nostalgia (from the OG) speaking through me. Everything from the graphics to the animations, voice acting/performance and gameplay is phenomenal, but the soundtrack is on another level as well. This game is the complete package.
It is soulless, it's very "Competent" but they cut a lot of the quirky charm. Oh, and they cut out HUGE sections of the game. Including a boss fight. Dude, just STFU ok. I've resigned myself to living with everyone blindly praising this shit. The least you can do is keep your fan-girling to yourself.

I thought the beginning hearing the acoustic my first impression was "Aw that's a nice little nod to the original." THEN when I randomly stumbled upon the firing range and got the bonus first try my face grew into a wide malicious grin as I took aim at all the remaining bonus targets and skulls and took shots as I was jamming out to this nostalgic banger!
You play gun range and really like the music and then this comes!! I just smiled the whole time. You want to reach bonus stage not to get the trophy but just to hear the music! 😎🤩
