In today's episode we continue working on the 1985 Honda Elite 150 Deluxe.
The 1985 Honda Elite 150 Deluxe, also known as a Honda Spacy in Japan, this JDM Honda scooter 150 was the top of the line back in 1985. It is the deluxe model which mean this Honda scooter comes with a flip up headlight! How many scooters have you seen with one of those?
This scooter restoration project is not going to be an easy one and is most definitely thebsrecord spec. Almost every panel on this Honda Elite 150 is either damaged, missing, or doesn't line up. Almost every aspect of this scooter will need to be looked at and addressed in one way shape or form. In any case, I will be documenting this scooter build every step of the way and I hope you all enjoy!

It's not an ae86 trueno coupe but it is another JDM icon worth saving. Also, the 150cc engine should be quick and the flip up headlight will be awesome!
Don't worry the Toyota Corolla ae86 project is still under way and we will be getting back into the swing of things soon. We will continue to shave the ae86 engine bay and prep the ae86 build for final assembly and paint.

I had one , the headlight was always in the on position. Great scooter, I graduated to the maxi scooter helix and reflex 250cc gas and go baby

I've got a pair of these. The 150cc does 55-60, and the 125cc does 50. I highly recommend refurbishing an OEM carb. The Chinese ones are a nice bandaid but they tend to clog and don't seem to run quite as efficiently. My 150 went up to 63 before I put a Chinese carb on it.
Thanks for tuning in! I agree with you, I let the scoot sit a couple of weeks and it is now clogged. I am in the process of trying to get an oem one since the one that came on this scoot is way to far gone.

Yes, there is going to be a final part. I want to paint all the plastics before reinstalling. I'm hoping to do that when it warms up soon.
keep it original! keep the digital dash! its the second best feature next to the pop up headlight!...Straight bar would ruin it!
