For me, the ideas in czcams.com/users/postUgkxAfqpMLyFn37qcqUl0FAzqkkycQeXqrhP Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.

Dear Perkins builder brothers, (or Jamie because I'm pretty sure you're reading all the comments, no punt intended to you, Erik). Just want to say thank you for all your fun content and the knowledge you teach other builders, homeowners, and DIY folks. I learned a lot over the last year since watching you guys and projects don't seem as daunting anymore. One question, which you maybe have gotten before so I apologize for the redundancy, would you guys ever consider doing a timber frame (as in post and beam) construction? The current content that is out there is sparse and not well explained but you guys do always do such a good job in explaining things so I thought it would be cool if you may be in the future build a smallish timber frame house. Anyway thanks, guys!

My wife and I love your channel. You do really fun videos and you deserve lots of praise. There is one small complaint that we thought might be on the minds of tons of viewers and it is this. Many people (us included) get motion sick very easily. We understand how difficult and time consuming it must be to build the homes and also video the work but if you could please try to keep a more steady position for the camera it would be great. Shaky cam is not a good look and although you do a great job most of the time, hand held filming can be really hard for some of us to watch. Thanks for your fun videos!

Recommendations vary based on climate zone but yes you have the Kraft paper thing right. The idea is to have an air/water barrier on the outside of your building (in this case you do, the zip system). This keeps vapors from condensing inside the wall in a time like the warm summer when water vapor hits the cool wall from indoor air conditioning. Also, there’s humidity indoors. The same thing can happen from the inside out so you want that Kraft paper to keep vapor from entering the wall cavity and condensing somewhere inside causing mold/rot.

Wider and taller on the rough openings is always better. Also carpet and tile might give you door scrubbing issues and force you to cut them. I always add an extra half inch to the height and on garden doors an extra inch or 2 wider. Easier to add another thickness of plywood or 2x4 in the opening than to have to cut out larger !

I've read that LP Smart siding isn't a good choice. They have 2 other companies paint their product. So it is very hard to get them to replace anything when it comes to the warranty. You also are not supposed to spray water directly on the siding because it is easy for water to penetrate and or get trapped causing damage.
