We live just down the road in El Paso. Which Walmart did you stay at? We drove up past White Sands after all the rain we had in August and were amazed at how much vegetation there was in the sand. It's so cool to be out there at the full moon. Glad you enjoyed it. Your video was gorgeous!! Thank you for sharing!

The dunes have moved so much that the sand that was spilling over that fence near the highway used to actually be significantlly lower than the fence. I remember as a kid a teacher told us that one day it would spill over, and it did! In the Summer they have a full moon night, so the park is open until like midnight. Its so cool during a full moon.

When we were living at Holloman AFB next to White Sands fro 1968 to 1971, we would use cardboard to slide down the dunes. Even my Grandmother would climb the dunes with us kids and slide down. She was in her 70's. We could dig down about 10 to 12 inches at the base of the dunes and the sand was damp.

Love seeing all the national parks with y’all. I thought the strolls, walks and playfulness in your dresses in the sand with your daughter, Kerri, was a beautiful moment to witness, such a chill vibe in the desert sand and the sky backdrop colors you mentioned as evening approached. And the jazzy instrumental, Lush Dreams by The New Fools, was the perfect accompaniment.
Did u guys make sand angels? Lol I bet kitty thought "what a big giant litter box" just kidding I really enjoyed this video and for sure can't wait for our bus to be on the move. Update we finally bought a bus and r still in process of taking the ceiling down and then we all got the coronavirus so now we r at the end of quarantine but due to shortness of breath and my lungs hurting with I take a deep breath we r taking it easy and healing 1st before we continue with the bus. Just trying to make the best of things, we had to postpone our Thanksgiving dinner and hopefully we will just celebrate later with family, still have lots to be thankful for. Anyways thank u for the content and helping me with inspiration and positivity I needed.

I figured because I am living tiny I should have a tiny radio and so I went with a Xiegu G90. I spend a massive amount of time on 20 m. I created my own antenna system that I can deploy very quickly. I am literally 100% portable. I am using an mfj- 1979 vertical whip with a homemade adjustable coil. The mfj 1979 is resonant on 20 m by itself. I rarely even have to use my coil unless I want to play on 40 m.
@@BussyMcBusface Nice! I've been wanting one of those. When I want to go mobile I use my Flex1500 and a buddipole antenna. I also have my truck set up with an intel nuc and a 7" touchscreen and a tarheel screwdriver antenna to use with the Flex as well. I think I'm going to put that in the bus and an FT-817 for mobile operations. I haven't been on the air in a while though. Life got in the way. I'm hoping bus life will change that.
I made a mental comment about part of the recording but I didn't want to comment & be a Karen but you asked 🤣 kidding honestly it isn't bad. I just noticed when you came out of the gift shop the white balance didn't automatically adjust like recording usually does when going from inside to outside. I thought usually that's a default setting but I wonder if on the new camera it has to be set maybe.

Because the bus gets too hot when we go up hills when we are towing the jeep. Especially the transmission.

Most of the time it does but sometimes it just flips out and doesn't catch up.
