Can I just say that Flats' videos this week have been rolling out like hotcakes, I watched this part of his stream earlier today and I am astonished that it has already been edited and posted. Goes to show how dedicated and hard working he is (or his team of editors if he has them).

As a free-to-play player, you can earn the new heroes through hero challenges, they have their own sections and are kinda weird how easy they are e.g. for Kiriko you need to win 35 games + use kiriko's abilities in the practice range

Brute forcing the characters might be worth $10 to some, but it's really easy to unlock characters. You'll just have to spend a few minutes in the practice zone, then win 35 games as that role. For Ramattra, the wins in Season 2 carried over to Season 3. So I'm already like 20/35. Go QP and enjoy the vast choice of characters and pocket the $10 for a sandwich.

i really like the new kiriko mythic. the skin name may be amaterasu, the three customizations actually represent the trio, amaterasu, susano-o, and tsukuyomi. love it

I found the new silhouette icons accidentally last season, all locked without any explanation of what they were going to be for. I was really worried that those would be the only new rewards they were adding for season 3... but overall I am very happy with a lot of the cosmetics and how they have changed the monetization this season (still room for improvement, of course). If I had extra money I actually would want to spend it on some of this stuff.

I was genuinely ready for them to get rid of the smaller rewards in lieu of the free credits. Pleasantly surprised we get both!
It's possible they had already made them before the credits change so we'll have to see if they keep this up over the next few seasons, but I imagine they'll keep it like this since now we're expectant.
Really burst my bubble when I found out they were legacy credits and not premium currency ….they also took away the 5$ pack with 500 coins and a skin for a 10$ 1,000$ coins….one step forward three steps back 😢
also the head piece for kiriko does different animations during highlights and each headgear does a different one
I really wish they would bring back the competive rewards from ow 1, where you get points for each roll/mode you ranked in, so like if you are Plat in all 3 roles and open que, 500 each for is 2000 points. Now it's just whatever your top rank is will payout. With how many characters are in the game to get gold guns for, they really need to fix how little we get.

Then I saw the Season 3 content reveal trailer and realized how amazing the skin was! So I’m over it now. It’s a great skin and that’s enough for me.

The insane sustain with her healing in mid fights, the huge burst of healing you do in Valkyre when someone is lower than 50%, IS ADDICTING
You can damage boost them, the second everyone drops near/below 50%, WOO BACK TO 80% HP INSTANTLY

I’ve just noticed something. The currency you get from the battle pass cannot be used to purchase any legendary skins. The symbol for legacy credits is subtly different to the overwatch credits you need to use to buy the newly priced 1500 point skins.
I could have sworn the devs said that they wanted people who complete the battle pass to have enough credits to get the one skin they wanted. That you earn 1500 credits, 2000 if you go premium, and you could use that to buy a skin from their back catalogue.
This doesn’t seem to be the case. The most expensive thing you can buy currently is an epic skin for 300 legacy credits. Looks like someone has stuffed up.
The hero pack is the best purchase a new player could buy since for 1000 coins, you can also upgrade the BP to the premium version

For whatever reason all the archives skins besides scientist and blackwatch moira are available not too sure why they did that but I was hoping to get the scientist skin
Comparing Genji Devine Monkey skin on the gallery and on the trailer makes me think that Genji's foot on the trailer was glitched or the length of his foot changed on release.
love how the one Skin made for the Holiday event(Cupid Hanzo) isnt even the reward for the event. you get the most unrelated Lucio skin. Atleast the last 2 skins related to the event theme.

But the passes get more and more interesting each time (obviously, as the market dictates) so hey, sooner or later! And the preview of each coming season before the current one ends also always allows for better decisionmaking on if to wait or buy.

It's so weird looking from the outside at Overwatch and seeing it have issues (like streamer mode) that Siege solved a year or two ago.
I barely played S2 because of the lackluster rewards for the f2p players, might come back since you can actually get credits from the BP.
2:40 Im 90% sure he's tiny cause the emote takes up so much space off to the side.
They should add a random name generator for streamer mode on the server side. This way each game you play it gives you a rando name so people don't know it is you and then keep the client side stuff for your stream video.

I think season 2 battlepass was absolute ass, there was not a single cool skin that wouldve made it worth getting (that coming as a pure support main)
I'm really excited for this one! The Kiriko and Moira skins are absolute great and some of the name cards are lovely too. (Also love that I was able to get the bee mercy skin "for free" since I had to get credits anyways)
I wanted the JQ skin but missed out due to not playing enough/starting VERY late. Got the new death metal skin tho and sans hair it’s dope
Ramattra Poseidon skin is one of the best in the game imo

@@hal6679 That would make sense if it was a mythic. I don't remember a single legendary skin in the game changing the projectile's color and even adding vfx like you're suggesting. As far as legendaries go, Poseidon is as best as can be imo. Of course, if it was a mythic, which it could very well be, there are a lot of cool new effects his abilities could have

In game monetisation shouldn’t be normalised like that. It’s not a good thing at all. Never once has it failed to turn an existing IP into a shell of itself, and after a while people just become okay with it for some reason.

Go to the hero gallery, you can purchase almost all the ow1 stuff with the credits
If you go into the hero section you can buy OW 1 skins with the free coins

Don’t, you can buy full quality games with that. Buying into this format has only bad results.
My issue with battle passes is that sometimes, like with this pass, I have so many other games I want to play/am playing that i quite literally dont have time to complete it.
The good thing about that is it makes it easy to know which games to actually put time into.
Got a FoMO battle pass or a cosmetic store? Never touch it. Got a box price with no mtx and a polished, thought out gameplay loop? That’s what you want.

For free players who are longtime OW1 players there’s not really any kind of improvement to the BP at all though sadly. Just added OW1 currency I already had way too much of and can’t do anything with

Carreer tab thing has been broken for me atleast since the start of overwatch 2 I've reported it a couple times but no changes for all overwatch 2 seasons I have less then 15 minutes played and no games plays 1 win and I have my ranks thats it some time on a few heros I don't play and that's it haven't been able to see my career Stata since the launch

Now all they need is the reintroduction of a real progression system, the reintroduction of SR every match, the reintroduction of earnable lootboxes, the reintroduction of 6v6, the reintroduction of scorecards and medals, the removal of Battle Pass and Store FoMO scams, the removal of microcurrency, and the removal of sms protect in return for giving the game a box price again.
After basically returning to Overwatch with a new engine, they can then release the storymode as DLC.

Medusa, minotaur and cyclops roadhog aren't in the hero gallery anymore 😕 kinda bummed as I wasn't able to pick up Medusa then and now I can (go figure), and she no where to be found 🥺
