i have to say, that early bit with the kid sneaking into the hotel on a dare and encountering someone standing on the stairs and the kid stops in his tracks and the camera doesn't move for hours until the battery finally dies the next morning is one of the creepiest things i've ever seen....and there's no jumpscare or anything!!!

For all the horrifying questions this series raises, the one that still keeps me up at night is how in the everloving hell does a guy who died in the 80's who's been living in his abandoned, demon-infested hotel for nearly 40 years know how 'Be Our Guest' goes?

You could argue that being dead, Tully has plenty of time to witness things, and use that knowledge to his advantage to lure people in, and has probably picked up a few pop culture references as well. NGL though, I thought the same damn thing. XD

What I wanna see in one of these movies is someone who, after hearing everything thats been going down at the hotel, roll up with a trunk full of Molotov cocktails and torch the place. Some sort of ghost hunter who goes around cleaning up haunted or cursed sites.
You really think that would work? Think about it; in every movie where people get trapped inside a building, what’s the first thing they try to do? Break the windows. Does the glass break? Nope. They then try to break down the doors. Do they break? Nope. If the try to burn the building down, what happens? It won’t burn. These buildings are protected by supernatural forces. Natural elements aren’t going to destroy them, especially the Abaddon Hotel which is the portal hell... My husband and I actually have an inside joke anytime we’re watching a movie in which people get trapped in a building due to supernatural forces; we call it “ghost glass” and joke about how the power should be harnessed to mass-produce glass so things that are already made out of glass, especially iPhones, could be made out of “ghost glass” and they therefore couldn’t break... But anyway, the third movie actually explains what the only way to destroy the portal is.

3:04 - you NEVER pick up someone who asks for a ride in the middle of nowhere, especially if it's in a dangerous area (an abandoned hotel known for many deaths counts here). And it's not even about ghosts in the movies, the chance that person is a cereal (lol) killer is much higher than if not.

The scary thing about that hithicker girl is that, the "ghost" of Her is *waay* past hotel himself to lure people.

HH Holmes was one of the most prolific serial killers of all time. The actual count of his victims is unknown but well over 100. His hotel of horrors in Chicago is what the abadon is based on supposedly. Also, the fantastic character of James Patrick March in AHS Hotel is also based on Holmes
That's actually not true, he did kill a few people, but he was more of a con artist than a murderer. Most of his murders were used to con life insurance companies or steal people's identities which he'd use for years before finding a new victim and a new way to cash in on someone's life insurance. Even after he was caught he tried to boast about his kill count but it only being (a self confessed) 27 victims ,eventho later investigations finding out that some of the people he claimed to have murdered were still alive. The over a 100 victims number is just an incredibly exaggerated number that has been boosted over time to make his story more scary and prolific with no evidence or number of missing persons cases to back up them up. Also the layout of his hotel being a huge maze of empty staircases and doors to nowhere was exaggerated as well, they did find a couple long garbage/body shoots and a secret passage way that lead to a basement with a drain on floor but the place wasn't like a real life mc esher painting like some folks have made it out to be.
I adore Evan Peters, but that is easily his worst character from AHS. Hotel is just a god awful season in general. Had they not had him do that atrocious accent, it may not have been so bad, but that accent destroyed any liking for the character I may have had. It's no surprise that people who like that character tend to think Lady Gaga wasn't god awful and shouldn't have ever been allowed on the show with that horrendous excuse for acting. She may be better in other things, but she was easily the worst part of that season.

attempts at demolishing haunted/cursed places usually ends in many construction accidents and deaths of the constructors and/or their family. It's like trying to break a window or open a ghost-locked door. They can try it, but it won't succeed. As with any hopeless horror, the real life-saver is abstinence (like don't use that ouiji board, or don't go inside the haunted building, or don't run upstairs, don't knock on that door, etc.). Once the step is taken, you're pretty much doomed.

I used to go into abandon houses. We would drive from Omaha to a tiny town named Ashland. There was an old worn down house on a farm and nobody lived there. There was a cemetery in the back with 2 gravestones for pets I think. Went through the house and found a diary written in 1940. It said “yesterday there was a plane crash in the corn. The pilot died” then in the basement/cellar there were mason jars with weird shit inside. It looked like a movie prop of preserved fingers. We took one and decided to never go into a abandon house again. One night a few months later we said wtf let’s go back to show me and my friends new girlfriends. He drove her car, about 2 miles from the house we hit a deer and totaled the car. I know it’s just a coincidence but that was scary af for us!

There is one question not answered. With the planchet, he asked if it was Tully, the cult members, the disappeared people, or hell house crew answering, and none of them were yes. So who was messing with the planchet? Also I feel it was important to say that the hotel convinced Alex to make that bad business deal to make him lose everything and force him into the position of bringing his crew to Hell Housee.

The acting was kind of lacking in the first half, but they picked it up in the second. These characters didn't have the same chemistry as the first group, but they all did well. I hated Brock, but was sad we didn't see more of him. His actor was very good at playing the role .
I love how these mannequins can seemingly teleport, but not really bc she's slamming on the closed door, implying that they actually move at the speed of light 😂
The scariest moment has got to be the undelivered promise of nachos. Nothings worse than not getting promised food when hungry cravings 😂
I think this was my favorite one of the three. I didn’t like Molly as a character but the rest were fine. I enjoyed learning about the different people that experienced the Abaddon. Fun series!

One character needs to leave as soon as some crap start happening or just decide not to show up. Paul in first movie had the chance to leave especially after that light scene but he stayed because of Alex. Same with Tony after his clown scene and he believes in ghosts but Mack told him what Alex did and he stays.

Actually at the restaurant scene in Hell House II they mention Brock tagging along to do his questioning in the dining room and Mitch question how Brock knew he was going when he told Brock on Morning Mysteries that he wasn't going to the Abadon Hotel. So they were expecting Brock to show up, he just caught them from behind as they opened the door to the hotel

The sequel wasn’t as a “solid” as the first and the make up was bad (and the acting was laughable at times)
BUT it was much scarier
The scene in the first one with the girl in the bedroom, while the guy is recording himself being creepy, is one of the scariest scenes I’ve ever seen
that’s debatable, in my opinion. the second one definitely tries to be scarier, and it has a lot more scares overall, but i would argue that almost none of the scares are as effective as the few in the first one.
Because the sequel felt more dreadful and helpless since those random amateur videos that they show in the talk show until the main group enters the group all of it happens in daylight and yet they still didn't stand chance. Even the guy who is doing a live stream video but no one even saves or rescue him.
The first one was effective because the story of the group started days before the actual opening night where the true horror begins with a little bit of scares from here and there before the opening night unlike in the second from those amateur videos up to the main group, once they enter the hotel it's the end for them and it happens in just single day.

this movie was good as a one and done... I was scared A LOT when I first saw it but after the 4th viewing I wasn't scared at all, I actually enjoyed it! I liked the videos of people sneaking into the hotel it seemed like something you'd see today and your just WAITING for something to happen and when it doesn't happen it scares you even more

I really love this trilogy but it definitely has issues. The mere fact that anyone would enter the hotel after seeing the footage from the disaster in part one is hard to rationalize. I mean, there was clear evidence of very, very real and fatal paranormal activity. Within the movies' universe there is recorded proof of hell and demons and whatnot. But still, these movies scared me like I haven't been scared since Blair Witch.

Still so happy you decided to do these videos because on my own i never realized that russell's name was used so often in the second one and how it will connect to the third one. Cant wait for more!

I would absolutely LOVE it if you did a video on the movie “A Dark Song”. I’m pretty sure it’s one of the only horror movies I’ve ever seen that doesn’t have a single jump scare but still creeped me the f*ck out. I’m so curious to see what you think of it as we seem to have very similar taste in movies!

The worst death was the couple at the beginning. A dirty woman just standing blankly on the side of the road, gets in the car while they are distracted, not responding to any questions other than where to take her, and runs inside of the boarded up building.

I saw all three movies. I think they were enjoyable its not one of those the next one is way better than the other. But the story over all was interesting but i think how it all ended wasnt the best but if u listen to the dialouge it made sense seemed a lil half assed but still pretty good. 4.8/5 for me
I really enjoyed I and II and like the franchise as a whole. In fact, I was really looking forward to and impatiently waiting for III to be released. But I thought the ending was lackluster.
