Massive Mothers Day Tulip Sales Transform This Farm?

- It's Mothers Day weekend, which is the biggest flower sales day of the year for us, and we are ready for it with a massive harvest of Tulips that could sell for thousands of dollars. Serina will be busy arranging bouquets as the sales don't stop. Combine a big day at the farmers market with record sales from the roadside stand and we have the recipe for success. What better way to start our flower farm season than with a big payday and lots of buzz from all the locals who stop by the farm to get that perfect bouquet for mom. This video takes you through all the steps from harvesting the Tulips, to cleaning them, arranging the bouquets, and putting them up for sale in our roadside stand and at the local farmers market.

I love the scrounge for greens and fillers! You have inspired me so much to take advantage of my pollinators to become bright spots inside the house too! I had used my bolted lettuce and the tall green grasses that grew up under my bird feeders for fill. Also, you should try to get some of your tables to a higher height. Countertop height will be much better on your back. Considering the tall buckets, maybe just mounting the tables onto 4x4 or 6x6 blocks would give your back a break. Congratulations on all the sales!!
I love all the natural/wild vegetation you add to bouquets. It really inspired me to look at weeds differently. One of my new favorite thing to add to my personal bouquets are wild wheats/oats. They look amazing.
I let some kale go to seed just to seed what it looks like, literally some of the prettiest yellow flowers I've ever seen.
People are constantly saying "is that ....??" in reference to all the weeds/random stuff in the bouquets lol

Congratulations on your tulip success, well deserved! Since Mother’s Day is an extra special occasion, people want the best and are willing to spend an extra amount, so you might increase the number of $30 and $40 bouquets, and make fewer $20 bouquets.

The one flower stand that shows up at the market here does pre-made bouquets and build-your-own at the same stand. It really helps them with processing time. They only pre-bundle the premium bouquets. I love getting to choose the flowers in my bouquets to suit my personal taste or my recipient's. I am even willing to pay a bit more for the time they take to build the final product in front of me.
I've been following your videos for a year or so. You've done so much labor last year with mixed results. $3000+ is a great start for 2022. Congratulations, your hard work is being rewarded.

Lol, yup, we are only showing the work of harvesting and sell in most of our videos, because we are busy working at keep the farm going during the other half of the week that we don't film

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival this year had the biggest crowd that I've ever seen. Huge stampede. I'm not surprised that everything got sold. Great video!

Wow from planting to harvest to selling at the farmers market and road side stand I am so glad you are sharing the journey with us it is so awesome to be a part of it all . I love to garden but it is just for myself I often daydream of planting to sell but realize because of my age I could not keep up with what you do to make it a successful so I watch you and cheer you both on so bravo and keep up the good work but remember to take a break now and again . I pray that this summer the weather will be better than last.

I will say that Mother’s Day /Christmas/ new born/ funeral are they days of the year that I don’t actually have a budget for flowers.
Mother’s Day I spent $100 on my mothers flowers and they were only slightly bigger then the bunches I’ve just seen - set in one of those moisture blocks so it was free standing.
I recon next year you could do $50 bunches in there was another feature flower to go with the tulips.
