I loved their awkward interactions (very relatable) but I wished thier relationship was better developed in the 1st two movies,especially considering that MJ was way too one-dimensional for a love interest of the most beloved superhero
Their chemistry in the 3rd film and especially that tumbnail kiss scene was everything,I felt that☝🏽
I feel like Michelle had a good few similarities to the comic book Mary Jane. Just like the comics Peter brought out the best in her.
@@oisinreilly2639 I haven't read the comic books at all,I'm speaking from a movie audience pov that even Raimi's MJ had more personality and a life outside of just being Peter's love interest despite dividing the audience due to her being an annoying damsel in distress
I wanted her to be a person who I can get why Peter was interested in her in the first place but instead we went from them having little to no interactions in Homecoming to Peter liking her out of nowhere in FFH which hurt the believability of their pairing and therefore I didn't feel their chemistry at all in that movie even though I felt Z and Tom's chemistry off screen during the FFH press tour
The writing did their relationship and MJ (including all of the side characters) dirty imo,even May's death didn't hit as much for me as it should've because she was one-dimensional and they didn't even give us enough scenes in FFH for us to care more about her like we did in Homecoming
I agree with you 100%. Before No Way Home, I hated this pairing, especially in comparison to the two Spider-Man couples that came before them. They felt like just another shallow MCU romance. I feel like No Way Home really fixed both their relationship and MJ as a character. While I still think that there are some issues with the character development, it’s definitely come a long way since Homecoming and Far From Home.
@@baby_grogu I agree with you. I wish they had given more depth to MCU MJ and Aunt May in the previous two films. NWH tried to fix a lot. But I’m excited for the next film.
@@baby_grogu I absolutely disagree. MCU MJ was even in Homecoming much better than Raimi's MJ.
And as a real girlfriend, she is completely different level. She isn't selfish, unsupportive, she doesn't cheat, she actually supports and defends Peter.
Peter parker is a character that everyone loves. He never cares about himself, always keeps other before himself. He promised MJ that he'll tell her everything after she forgets him, but he didn't. He sacrificed his love just because he wants to keep her safe. My man is the person, a lot of people want to be. He had everything once, his family, girlfriend, best friend, friends, father figure. And then lost everything in an instant. Life is so cruel not just to him but us all. But peter teaches us that no matter what happens, even if you lose everything, you shouldn't lose hope, you shouldn't give up. Because every failure, every loss, every heartbreak, teaches you to get up again and just keep going no matter what happens. 💯🙌
Tom Holland is a damn good actor, i rewatched homecoming and when he was under the building it gave me genuine anxiety even tho I’ve seen it, the people who hate him are ridiculous

MJ is also Peter’s main love interest too. Peter and MJ are endgame too, so it’s rare that they won’t be together

I can't stop watching it🥺 Their story was so sad, they deserved a better ending😭
Their journey and story is the most painfully beautiful thing in the entire MCU to me. Their relationship felt by far the most real and organic. 2 good souls who care only for the best for each other. There are many heart breaking moments in the MCU, but this takes the cake for me. MJ’s heartbreak in forgetting Peter even though she believes he’ll come back for her, shows how much she loves Peter and values those memories with him over anything. Even though he’d be right there forgetting him would be like being a million miles away. And Peter’s sacrifice not to reintroduce himself to keep her happy and safe is a touching act to make sure she’s good. I hope this romance plays out for the next 2 trilogies in the next 10+ years and it culminates with first MJ rede is covering Spider-Man’s identity, and then uncovering the truth that Peter chose not to divulge his previous relationship with her and they resolve that issue before Peter either retires or dies in action. Would easily be the most emotional story arc I would have ever seen in any entertainment.
Edit: Their real life relationship only makes this on screen relationship that much sweeter. Hope they defy the clutches of Hollywood and stay together forever and I wish them the best

This is a masterpiece and the song was a perfect choice for these two and in nwh it shows their ups and downs since peter is spiderman and the last kiss really made me sad and also MJ forgetting him before they can make their relationship grow made me sad, I hope MJ will remember Peter parker at some point in the future 🥲🥲

@@gabiperkins1591 Oh okay. Sorry for misunderstanding. I was also very disappointed but she had this look that hopefully means that they will in the future. I was angry. He was probably thinking "oh look at her... she's so happy and I don't want to screw it up". Their relationship was clearly very important to her so it was the wrong choice. She would've wanted to be with him even if her life got harder. On the other hand, the death of May probably made him worried about causing harm to people he loves.
