The 1 Tiger vs 10 Sherman’s is a lie btw, one Sherman could take down a Tiger with little effort, especially the 76 MM versions
Ya from what I researched even the short 76 could penetrate German tanks even tigers. But the 88mm had more range that’s why we made the long 76 so we could penetrate them at longer ranges. That’s why in most German tanks angle
The problem was the 76 versions weren't common during WWII. Most tanks had the low velocity 75. Canadians and British had some 17-Pounders which were pretty good. More accurate than our 76s but didn't hit as hard. Of the 76s the M4A1 (76) W was the most common. But even then Tigers and Panthers weren't all that common. Even the King Tigers mostly got stuck and were abandoned or ran out of fuel before making it to combat. Panzers and Stugs weren't that much better than Shermans. However Shermans were simple and easy to build and maintain so it was super easy to crank them out.
A tank historian known as the Chieftain believes the myth comes from the fact that Shermans would travel in squads of 4-5.

Engine. Remember, at the SAME time, PT Boats, like JFK's "PT-109", had 3 (three) Packard 1A-2500 gasoline engines with a total output of 2500 hp. Pratt & Whitney was producing the "R-2800", which was an air-cooled, 2000 hp engine.
there's different control modes for aircraft in warthunder that make it work better I usually use the advanced control mode.

The name "doom turtle" came from world of tanks players and spread throughout the internet, then to war thunder, where it cemented it's place as an internet meme

In terms of success, the Shermans in U.S. and British service specifically had a positive kill to loss ratio in recorded engagements between them to German PzKpfw IV and PzKpfw V (Panther) tanks from 1944 to 1945. For Panthers specifically in U.S. 3rd and 4th Armored Division it numbered 3.6:1 against Panthers.
What killed U.S. and other allied tanks the most were German assault guns (StuG's) and anti-tank weapons. The latter included the infamous FlaK 36 "88", PaK 40 guns (75mm.), and of course Panzerfaust. Also mines. Tanks save for the rare Tiger I (Tiger II scored worse than Panther generally) were never in the end the threat to M4 crews.
What crews personally felt varied exceptionally. History Channel failed them, and failed us millennials and zoomers.

It was said that a panzer could take a four to one against Sherman’s. But the Americans always brought five.
In regards to the Panzer vs Sherman debate at the start of the video, I'd still give the edge to the Panzers since they are older designs (began being created by 1934), changed role tremendously (Pz3 went from a 37mm, to a short 50mm, to a long 50mm, to a short 75mm gun, essentially going from AT tank to Assault Gun; Panzer IV went from the short 75mm to the long 75mm which also switched it up from an assault gun to an AT tank), and proved a reliable platform for many other designs; One more thing to consider is that the Sherman was built precisely to withstand the long 50mm found in the Panzer III variants the DAK used (since that was the first theater the americans involved themselves), but still proved able to sustain the long 75 from the Panzer IV at range- The Sherman and T-34 led to the creation of the Panther which is much more in line with modern tanks than others before it (think of it as a proto-MBT of sorts)

4:21 I am personally a huge fan of all the Bluhm und voss planes (because they are stupid) for example the Bv 238 or as I refer to it “the sky whale” it’s a SIX engine flying boat (they are essentially just the hulls of boats with wings engines a cockpit and a tail) guess where some of the gunners are, THEY ARE IN THE WINGS😂 also the Bv141 which I legit can’t explain other than “how on earth did they think this would fly?!”
I swear the Blohm und Voss designers were on crack or LSD when coming up with their aircraft. One of them is a literal podracer from Star Wars design wise.

Don't believe any of that Wehraboo bullcrap. The Tiger was an utter piece of overengineered garbage, so much so that they had to make recovery vehicles for the few recovery vehicle variants of they made out of Tigers called the "Bergetiger" because the Tiger chassis was proving to be pretty bad. It ran bad, it consumed fuel pretty bad and it was bad to maintain. Shermans ran pretty well throughout the course of the war. While the Tiger had an amazing combat platform with its 88mm main gun plus the armor, it BARELY saw combat against tanks on the Western front considering everything up until that point were getting strafed to oblivion by the USAAF and the RAF.

The Tiger was overengineered, but calling it "garbage" is calling the Sherman crews paranoid for no reason. It was never meant to be a "mainline" tank (that was the Panther), but just a big fuck off tank that could easily deal with anything it encountered within a timeframe (hence why the Tiger eats T-34s and Shermans for dinner), and bar the T-34-57 (extremely limited production), the T-34-85 or the upgunned Shermans, nothing could reliably kill it at the ranges it could kill you.
