@@sakethravuri3023 I also think that confidence is key, and Kavanaugh did not seem confident to me at any point. But more importantly, the severity of the accusations is a lot different. In this case, the allegations were inappropriate conversation, harassing her about going on a date and inappropriate remarks. With Kavanaugh, he was accused of being a gang rapist. In this case, had they found him guilty of making these comments and trying to go out with her, I don't think that their vote would have changed. Many people look at it as harassment but not too severe (not my view, just a general view). But with gang rape, no person can ever justify that or look over it.
What do you think about how they both got hit with the same thing? And how they both passed? I don't see a reason for there to be only one way to handle oneself in court also the law is the law for errbody ma.

And sadly, thirty years later, character assassination is still the preferred weapon against those that we disagree with. It is still disgusting. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” and “Thou shalt not bear false witness” have never been less important. I relished every word of Justice Thomas’ book, “My Grandfather’s Son.” This is a man for whom statues should be created. My “struggles” pale in comparison to what this man endured, indeed poverty while greatly serving his country much of his life. And yet he is still looked upon with disdain by racists, cowards, liars, and the ignorant. God bless and keep you Justice Thomas. I celebrate your life sir, and I will share your greatness with my family, and anyone else who will listen. Soli deo Gloria (I know you studied Latin).
