How do you store all of the information on your gardens? Plant lists, light requirements, etc.? Well I store mine in OneNote, of course!
I have created a separate notebook just for my landscape designs. It includes a section for each garden area. In each section I have an overview page that contains a diagram of the garden layout, a plant list of all of the plants in that garden. I can also include my own photographs or pictures from a plant growers website including links to that grower for more information. Other pages within each section includes more detailed information about certain plants that may be new to me or that have special requirements.
Using the desktop to create the tables for the plant lists works great. Using the iPad with the Apple Pencil works great for drawing the diagrams. Now I am not an artist, but using the graph paper page lay out helps me keep my drawings to scale. The variety of colors for the pens is super helpful in the diagrams as well.
Hi, I’m Crystal. Welcome to a Crystal Clear Life where we talk about planning, organizing and living a more simplified life. I use Microsoft OneNote 365 to create functional and decorative planners and notebooks to help keep my life organized. OneNote is awesome because it crosses all platforms so I can use it on my desktop PC, my iPad and my Android phone. That way I am never without my planner or notebooks. When shopping for plants, I always have my garden plans with me on my phone. So convenient!
Primarily I use my desktop to create notebooks and pages. I use my iPad to update and plan on a daily basis and I use my phone when I am on the go.
