Funny how this clip tries to show moving, satisfying moments between these two in this series. Trouble is, there were almost none that didn't have mitigating factors or "a catch." The only really legit happy moment for them was at the very beginning and at the very, very end (and then you have to consider if they made it out of East Berlin).
I’d recommend Babylon Berlin, set during Weimar Germany. It stars the same actor for Wilhelm in Generation War (Volker Bruch) who plays Gereon Rath, a detective from cologne coming to Berlin to investigate a extortion ring, however he gets caught into the madness that was Germany’s politics at the time such as communists, Nazis, monarchists, etc. It also stars a girl Charlotte Ritter who works alongside him. It’s a great show for both crime and history about what life was like at that time and it is the most expensive show produced in Germany. Could not recommend it to you more it’s worth it trust me, I didn’t think I’d like it but I fell in love. It’s on Netflix and there’s 3 seasons with a 4th one on the way. I hope this helps🙂
