I usually don't listen to melodic hardcore or post hardcore but this band is by far one of the most poetic and beautiful heartfelt bands I've ever come across.
The part where Joel says "I’ve seen wholeness in the broken

Actually makes me tear up quite abit. True and utterly amazing how lyrics can make you feel whole and make you wanna do something great.
I agree 100% with everything you said! This song always resonated with me on another level and truley inspired me to create this video. The band and their message is truley heart felt and full of passion. Thanks for watching and voicing your opinion!

This band has honestly changed my life over the years. I feel so grateful that one day I just happened to stumble upon their music. Their message, their music, their lyrics, their geniune beings, all resonate with me. I will never not listen and appreciate this band.

This is an excellent video with the true Gospel, meaning Good News, message of the salvation of all. The so-called good news of the salvation of a few "born-again" Christians and the eternal conscious torment of billions of non-Christians and the "wrong kind of Christians" is spiritual insanity!
"Wrong kind of Christians" Don't even exist. Hoy believe in Christ or not. You follow Him or not. You are a sheep or a wolf. You are a sheep or a goat. From Yahwe or the father of lies. Jesus did die for all, but not all believe in His sacrifice adn not all are cleaned by His blood. God will never force salvation, free will is a gift that makes us responsable for our chicos, and in this case, or we reject or recieve God.

It is evident that sinners will not reject God's saving grace forever as evidenced by Jesus drawing all people to Himself (John 12:32), all living in Christ and God becoming all in all (I Cor. 15:22, 28), universal confession of faith in and submission to Jesus Christ (Phil. 2:9-11), and every created being in the universal worshiping God and the Lamb forever and ever (Rev. 5:13)!

It's so calm but angry at the same time, feels like a preacher saying this speech but it's not.
Alright so here is the thing, there are two main issues here. God's holiness and man's depravity. God must punish the wicked, which is all of mankind. We are not "all of Gods children", Jesus himself called the Pharisees" Sons of Hell". God must punish evil, because he is good.
Secondly, we are not good. All mankind has fallen and is under the curse of sin. Not only do we sin, but we love it. The sinner hates God, and by no means would ever want to spend an eternity with him.

Sad that I had to scroll so far to see somebody say this. Everyone on here praising this song and calling it Christian is incredibly misunderstood. This song preached universalism which is a complete heresy in direct contradiction to Christianity. You don't even need me to tell you this, just reading your Bible makes it abundantly clear that hell is real, and unrepentant sinners will spend eternity separated from God there. Never seen a singer proclaim so boldly their desire to be damned while actually holding beliefs that will lead them to damnation. Honestly tragic.

God is the only reality.
Hell is a medieval construction, a myth show me the chapter on hell. Granted there is the land of the dead. Elysium. Christ offers resurrection of the dead, and left the keys to us, the world shale be saved through us.
We can't ignore the big elephant in the room which is the theological issue with this song.
Jesus himself spoke about hell and the reality of hell more than he did of heaven.
(Luke 16:23, Mark 9:43,48, Matt 13:42, Matt 25:30, Matt 10:28, Matt 8:12, Matt :11:20-14, Luke 13:24-28, Matt 25:46)
It is because God is HOLY that he MUST punish evil. And to even take that further, it's for our good that God punishes evil. He cannot be holy if he allows evil to go unpunished. It is his the goodness of his character that allows for evil to be punished.
To those who believe that all will be saved, what about Hitler? What about the unrepentant child molesters, rapists, sex traffickers, murderers that make life a living hell for their victims?

"The wrath of God is perfectly appropriate. He ought to be incensed with the evil that mankind has perpetrated upon others, and for a perfectly just God to exact the demands of justice is an expression of his perfect holiness."
"Our only hope is the wrath of God."
Do not be deceived by the universalist theology! The Gospel is the power of God to save TO EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES! (Romans 1:16)
This is why it's important that we preach the Gospel and not only live it out. It's an urgent message so that our loved one and our friends won't perish for eternity but would have eternal life!!

I see your point but I don’t think BAAO is referring to evil people or ideas . They’re referring to those who may have fallen off the path. “The homeless, broken, the sick, the damned” are usually those who get overlooked.
I’m not versed in Christian theology but I do believe it is Jesus who loved first, despite the character of the individual receiving such love.
Because you touched their life, they are under your holy umbrella and deserve to be their with you in heaven because you loved them.
It doesn’t mean you physically have to be their with them on Earth and talk to them everyday. They may not be a good person for you, but that’s irrelevant because it’s God who judges and it’s only for you to love them.
An easy one is John 3:16 “ send his only son, and whoever believes in him shall not perish”
Therefore if you touch someone’s life, and they like you, there is an opportunity for them to have everlasting life because they believed in you to be a good person.
You don’t have to preach the gospel and convince them.
If they resonate with you even a little, then they are good, and Jesus will do the work later down the line. God is in you, and if the damned person sees you as a cool and funny guy, then that’s enough to open a door for god later to work on them.
The moment you preach the gospel is an opportunity for the darkness that Satan casts to blind them.
Satan is smart and you have to be very (what I call) “poker face Christian” with some people. Satan will detect your Holy Spirit . You have to mask your light with some individuals, just like Satan masks his darkness in plain view.
Think about it. Just being nice is simply enough.
I'm an atheist and it's sad that BAAO are a religious band because i relate and love their songs but some things said is just religious nonsense, but hey if you find comfort in god, keep doing it i guess
