We are not born with hate! It’s learned and observed as we grind out our days. Handed down from those held close, the ones we are supposed to trust the most. Sins of the father, continued legacy or learned lesson? No, this must go no further.
Scripts handed down to those held close. They’ll be the ones to pay for the path we chose. That angelic child, a perfect prayer in heart,
"Let no bad happen. Let no bad happen."
She ran out of her room, tiny soft white womb. "Daddy, please stop hurting Mommy. It scared me so bad when I saw her in that hospital bed. Please, daddy, I'm getting scared again. Say: 'I love you. I'm sorry. Let's just go to bed.'"
(We are not born with hate! It’s learned and observed as we grind out our days.) The coldness of man looked down on innocence; hate blinding his compassion, turned his rage on his child, left lifeless among the presents. Father-given. Son-received. Red flows down the family tree.
We can break the legacy of rage; the same evil that lay innocence to waste. Love and forgiveness can break the chains. We must not pass down our father's sin before they have begun to live, mar our children. Our sons must not inherit our shame! Be the one to turn the page. I beg you. - Hudba
The emotion in the last few I beg you's is probably the most I've ever heard out of Joel. And that's saying a lot.
Ive honestly been blown away by this entire album.
The sencerity in Joels voice just makes it all surreal.
Great job guys.
Ok, this is easily one of my favorites from the album
2022 and IT IS the best Album ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This whole album is spectacular and full of so much feeling. But this track and "Ain't Nobody Perfect" hit me the hardest. Well done, guys. Amazing as always.
Amazing song! Joel and Michael voices fit so good together
This is the perfect way to end the album. It's so well done.
their music makes me feel cosmic
When you get chills down your spine every time you play this album. That's how you know how much music can really connect with you.
Wow. This album... perfection. So many great lyrics. Cannot wait to see them at warped!
It's nice to see a song that brings their old and new style together seamlessly
I just found out about this band earlier this year and THIS song hit me so hard 💔, as well as " the World as a stage, ain't nobody perfect, and sins of the father".
Maybe their best outro to a song. Emotion is definitely there.
only love. they're always working on their music to the fullest, always perfect. well done.
When this song ended, I was waiting for another one to start because this album is so good, i wish it never ended. You guys did a really great job, it's perfect.
This album really speaks to me. It has very positive messages and i can really relate to some of this stories.
Thank you Being As An Ocean for making such great music!
I found out about BAAO not long ago, and the second I heard them, I knew I'd love them. I had never felt this kind of connection with a band before. I get goosebumps every time I listen to them. Truly, being as an ocean is one of the most sincere and give-it-all bands if the industry today.
+Camila Vedder TAA and BAAO... **
+Mário Filipe you're right, also TAA. they're fucking awesome.
Omgosh..so good
the second part is the best part. wish the first half would fit to this masterpiece
oceana joy type feel in the into
best on the album by far
Oh this song reminds me the only girl i was love (i still love him after 6 years ) but she never felt the same way...
See? I love BAAO until the day I die, but if they had stayed, sounding like Dear G-D. The final product would have been amazing!
(Exquisite example: This song)
kinda sounds like dear g-d
This track is the sequel of the "Hardest Part...." ?
+HanziDrownable I believe it's the sequel to "Sins of the Father"
it feels shit to say this about a band i really like but being as an ocean are embracing clean vocals way too much compared to their first album, idk if i can dig it
Lewis Polland
My sentiments exactly, man. I would dig the clean vocals if they were (much) more aggressive and much less prominent.
