Funny story here: Yes Adele I know you did the work of changing your finances around yourself. So Proud of you. I also had "Spenditis" and it was bad. Even into my 50's. After my debt was paid off, I assumed I was cured. But a few years later, I received a totally unexpected inheritance. It was gone in 2 yrs. flat. Not a thing to show for it. 😢 It was one of the most ridiculous personal embarrassments of my life. Now I'm in my 70's and it's all under control Praise God. I couldn't take the Stress any longer. 😵‍💫 Now I have security, savings and money set aside for all my needs and goals. Sorry this is so long. Have the wonderful life you deserve dear. 💐💐💐

I used to be like this. As soon as I got my pay I would go shopping and spend it all in the same day! I was severely depressed, I hated myself and had extreme anxiety (and multiple other mental illnesses). All my friends were saving thousands for university and I had about £200. I was so unhappy and so I decided that things needed to change. I completely decluttered all of my things clothes, shoes, lifestyle etc. I went to university studying Biological Sciences (just finishing my second year now),I got myself a job that I enjoy and I am also starting my own business which I am really excited about. I am saving more money and I am happier than I have ever been and I am excited about my life now. I am fully recovered from my mental illnesses and I am a much nicer person now. I love the new me! I hope you all have a really lovely day!

Mark is a waaaaaaay better psychologist than “psychological coach” Benjamin Fry. He asks open ended questions instead of leading ones like Benjamin. He doesn’t force his ideas or theories onto the person. I feel like Benjamin would plant ideas into people. You can tell Mark has had proper training in therapy and is not just “someone who’s been through therapy” like Benjamin has been described as in some episodes. Benjamin was not a psychologist or psychiatrist when he appeared on this show. I believe he’s a psychotherapist now though.

I reluctantly agree - in the first episodes I saw Benjamin had excellent theories and approaches that the clients gelled with but as I've kept watching I've been noticing that it can be forced and patronising. I feel like Benjamin makes better TV - because this felt like it was missing a dramatic story but Mark is probably a much better psychologist.

Chris Carson well it's a conditioning from society that you get to a certain age and then stop doing and having things but look at the lives of the people who don't have fun and then look at the people who are young at heart with that childlike wonder - who is happier? All of us at heart want to return to that state of mind when we were a child when we were fascinated by everything, but it's society that conditions it out of us and has ultimately led us to a path of misery. We need to be serious about some things in life absolutely but if you always maintain that childlike wonder for things you'll be happier.

The only way this show would have been 'shared' so to speak, would have been if someone taped it on VHS, or if it was a re-run on the TV channel. Now it's permanently on the internet for everyone to see and make public comment on 15 years later. Imagine if you were recorded in 2005 and someone was rifling around your bedside drawers, reading your private statements, for it all to be uploaded to CZcams.
