It's crazy how he didn't know how to dance before debuting in Ateez and now he's seriously one of the best dancers in the industry. Like, he's an amazing performer but also an INCREDIBLE dancer, I'm in awe every time I see him. The body control he has, the energy, the isolations, his body lines, etc. It's all so amazing. Also highly recommend his vocal cover (the one that showed up at the end), not only is he an outstanding dancer/performer, he's also a very skilled vocalist. You have got to check out San's other special clip! It's his first vocal cover ever and it was also released this year (this is a very good year for San fans because this is his first performance video ever too 😂) it'll definitely show you his voice and a completely different side from this video!. He's an ace honestly.
This is the greatest thing about music and dance. It trancents language, culture, skin colour and age. It's all about how it makes you feel and react. I am 43 yrs old and started listen to kpop beyond the Billboard 100 because of #ateez.
San has incredible control & strength. The way he goes between tension & the "release" in his movements. It's never jarring or "too much". He doesn't look "like he's trying" - he's fully absorbed in the music & lyrics. (He was a main choreographer in this perf.) He conveys emotion in his expressions & also physically from the top of his head, to his fingertips, to his toes. He's a true 4th gen icon & it makes sense why so many of his hoobaes look up to him.
love this comment and totally agree! I never understand kpop fans saying he "does too much" and how he "overdances", imo he dances like professional dancers do (I believe San is a professional dancer but i mean more dancers outside of kpop who only dance, not everything else an idol does hehe). It just serves as a reminder how most kpop fans know nothing about dancing and just jump on the hate train because they wanna be edgy🙄It's just a bunch of mindless negativity for the sake of it so I shouldn't care but I know San sees what people say about him and it makes me sad. I hope he's seeing all the love he's getting for this performance though, he truly deserves all the praise for it!

Thank you for giving a shoutout to the dance crew! They are called BBTrippin and are KQ's own dance team, they are in charge of developing choreography for both ATEEZ and xikers, teaching them, and also dancing with them on stage and for perfomances like this one and also Wooyoung's artist of the month :) at this point they have all known each other for years and are like family, which gets really visible when they do shenanigans on stage like the dance battle at the end of The Real for example. Amazing people and SUPER talented. The Choreos for xikers and ATEEZ are some of the best ones out there ❤

It's definitely not pointless for you to check out performance and choreography videos. I subbed to you the day of your first Skz reaction because I loved seeing someone who actually took the time to break down lyrics and understand the meaning of songs, but I have stayed subbed all this time because I love your energy and the emotions you so openly display while enjoying music. It is definitely just as enjoyable seeing you get worked up over dance and performance as it is music and lyrics, even if you don't have the terminology to describe what you notice and feel. Keep up the good work, keep enjoying what you do and don't let youtubes very annoying issues lately get you down.

Wow!!! What an utterly beautiful man!!!! I don’t use that term when talking about men but it’s the only word to describe San!!! He’s so elegant but so powerful in the same breath!! Easily one of the best in the industry right now!!! I think the term you were looking for is isolation. His isolations are so strong!! I also love the crump elements he included in this choreo, this strength style suits him so well!!! He’s finally getting recognition for all of his hard work! I love this for him!! ❤

I love this project of his so much. There is a good behind the scenes out now too. They've each done things here and there that are cool. I have Hongjoong's Numb and Lemon Tree covers on my play list.❤. I love how San has gotten so confident in his dancing, which was not great when he auditioned.

Para Atiny que está desde incluso antes de que debutaran y conociendo la historia y obstáculos de San (él no sabía bailar, e incluso casi no llega a debutar de no ser por Yunho y Mingi) esta canción es perfecta para él.
Otro punto es que esta colab es tambien por parte de Riot, empresa de League of Legends (LoL), de hecho, ésta canción fue el himno del Mundial de LoL en 2014, siendo una de las favoritas de los jugadores. Lo cuál, aumenta aún más la emoción que transmite San en esta performance.
En resumen: Una total obra de arte demostrando el verdadero potencial y talento de San

9:18 I do think the wonderful thing about the fact that dance is such a big part of the KPOP industry, is that the dance crews and backup dancers are often some of the most respected dancers and choreographers in the Korean industry. Which means, while they might not always share the same type of limelight as the idols, they do have garner a name for themselves or have had a large influence in the dance world prior to even working with idol groups. Of course there are lots of young talented dancers or trainees that also end up being backup dancers, so its so lovely when people actually recognise their hard work :)

I'm surprised of how many people are saying that they've never heard this song. It's amazing!!! For me, this performance is like dying and going to heaven, 'cause Imagine Dragons and Ateez are two of my top 3 favorite bands in the world, so..... pfff.... goosebumps!!! Keep it up with te reactions!!! I liked it :P
From a dancer's perspective, San's strength really lies in his storytelling. Yes, the actual choreography is wonderful, but I think its the fact that you can sense the motivation behind the movements that makes him so captivating to watch. He's built a character and so each movement no matter how simple or complex holds the weight of intense meaning. Of course he may also be channeling some of his own personal feelings in the performance as well, but across all of his performances with Ateez he's always been very good at inhabiting the world/vibe/emotions of the music and performance. I'd honestly love to see him act in a film, I think he often can't help but immerse himself in a story.

3:04 I think some of what you're thinking of are the techniques of popping! One term is 'dime stop' and that describes moving at a constant pace and then coming to a clean halt. San is also good at isolated 'hitting/popping' which is when you tense muscle groups suddenly to create a look of impact... its often done where the bass hits in the track. Also, you don't need to know the exact terminology to react to videos like this! You've got a really keen eye for someone who may not know as much about dance, so you often point out things a dancer would pay attention to as well! But most importantly, if you enjoy it, its cool for us to see what you think anyway! :)

I'd really like to see your reaction to Yeosangs cover of 'Hug Me' its the complete opposite of this LOL, we get to hear a side of his vocals that we haven't heard before and it's just somethin else its a ballad but i still would like to see you check it out just for his vocals alone!
