  • If you need a C-Wire, use this adapter. Use this adapter instead of re-wiring your HVAC cables.

I installed Sensi thermostats in our Church and Sensi C Wire Maker Kits. Still working off of batteries. Do you have any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the video

Does this Honeywell C-adapter only work for Honeywell smart theromostats or can it be used with ecobee/sensi? Thanks

I'm not sure, that's a great question. I would think it would be the same, but you'll have to look that up

I’m confused! Does the adapter wire need to be ran from the thermostat to the furnace?

From your thermostat, use the wire you have, and it goes into the C wire adapter. The C wire adapter has its own set of wires that then goes to your control board.

What if there's no c wire connection at your furnace?

Then You need a c-word adapter. Which I have a video link to in the description

There's no c terminal at the furnace. I bought a c wire adapter kit but that only works if there's somewhere to connect it.

Did you just marry the fan to cooling1 and re ran green as C? Did you cut off your heating? You didn't explain what's going in that splitter. Well edited video but I recommend you talk to an hvac tech before someone hurts themselves.
First shut off your ac at the breaker
24 volts (thermostat voltage) won't kill you but will destroy your control boards and thermostat is you're not careful.

thank you for watching. let me clear up a few inaccuracies in your comment....this is NOT an install or how to video, as i describe in the video. Yes, obviously you would want to shut off your breaker, but would unlikely damage your control board, at least in my experience. It usually blows the 3-5 amp fuse if you cross wires, for what it's worth. FWIW, you wont even feel 24v shock at all if you have dry hands (replaced many of these, never have i seen one in my area thats 110/220 yet)
i show in the video what the final wiring hookup should be with the adapter if you want to see the wiring.
