    Roborock E5 with mop attachment on Amazon - geni.us/54dYs6
    The latest updated list of robot vacuums we recommend: www.consumeranalysis.com/guid...
    In this video we analyze the Roborock E5's carpet (general and deep cleaning), hard floor, edge, and hair (human and pet) pickup performance. We also discuss its raw performance (CFM and suction), mopping, navigation and coverage, battery life, bin size, and noise output.
    Overall, we liked the E5, though we can only recommend it if you can find it for close to $200 (approx.). Otherwise, the E4 is a better value option, as it's usually cheaper and very similar to the E5, according to our testing.

    very informative; I bought one E5 for my in laws; there is a remote, very convenient and friendly to non-tech savvy elderly people. Also, I learned that the remote applies to E4 as well. Lol anyway I’m happy with it.

      That's interesting. I never thought to test the E5 remote with the E4. It is available separately for about $15 it looks like. So you could technically buy the E4 and remote separately and then have an E4 with a remote.

      Can you test if it really works for E4? I’m thinking of getting a remote now for my E4 hahah

      @consumer-analysis  Před 2 lety

      @@verynick I've got both robots in storage right now so I can't test it. But I checked the Q+A part of the Amazon page for the remote, and the manufacturer replied to a question asking if the remote is compatible with the E4 and they say that it is. So you should be good to go!

      Confirmed! I bought E5 remote at Amazon and it worked for my E4. E4 value just went my in my opinion haha

    Very informative! I wonder if you could also review the roborock S7maxV Ultra especially its mopping feature. I wanna upgrade my S6V max to this one.

    Hi do you recommend this or the Proscenic 850T? Costs less. Or the Proscenic M8 which has lidar and similar price range.

    Detailed tests. Basic vacuum and mop funtions seems OK for me.

      Most people will be very happy with this robot vacuum's performance. I just think the E4 is a better value.

    is it good for pet hair. thats really my cleaning issues

  • @omgitsme435
    @omgitsme435 Před 2 lety

    I think it's a good middle ground for people who don't need the LIDAR but maps much better than the roomba entry version dumb robots with random pattern. The only problem is choice now since E4, E5 and S4 are very close in price range for the next tier up.

    Would you consider this best robot vacuum available in the midrange gyroscope category? Also which robot vacuum would you consider to be the most economical and best valued LiDAR vacuum?

    • @consumer-analysis
      @consumer-analysis  Před 2 lety

      I would recommend the E4 over the E5 as the best robot vacuum available in the midrange gyroscope category. I explain my reasoning in this video: czcams.com/video/G_qgsDqUYK4/video.html
      I've yet to test a budget grade or even midrange LIDAR robot that I can recommend. The Roborock S4 Max is probably the closest, but I still wouldn't recommend it because of its poor edge cleaning performance.

  • @FriedOrca
    @FriedOrca Před 2 lety

    How about a comparison to S6 and S7. Aside from mapping, E5 looks like it's stats are better. 10g vs 6g out of 30g in the cleanup, yes? Or did I miss something.

    • @consumer-analysis
      @consumer-analysis  Před 2 lety

      Outside of navigation and mapping, the E5 is very similar to the S6 and S7. But navigation and mapping make a huge difference in day to day use of a robot vacuum, which is why Roborock S series vacuums are priced so much higher.

    Would you suggest the E5 or E4?

    • @consumer-analysis
      @consumer-analysis  Před 2 lety +4

      I recommend the E4. Its performance is almost identical to that of the E5 and it's usually considerably less expensive. I should have an E4 vs E5 video releasing shortly that will go into detail comparing the two models.

    How do I connect robot with the app?

    • @consumer-analysis
      @consumer-analysis  Před 2 lety +1

      You need to download and use the Mi Home app - not the Roborock app - with the E5.

    this test showed it mopping up spilled liquids not cleaning a dirty floor.

    It consistently gets lost in our house and needs help returning to its base. 🤦🏻‍♀️
