The price is way too good to be true so people can't resist the amazing deal they think they're getting. The product never arrives and there might even be a fake tracking number involved, especially if PayPal is involved. A significant number of people won't remember or bother going through the refund process so the scammers take off with their money and go find the next product to imitate, buy a new domain name, and do it all again. The FBI is investigating and foreign governments are finally cracking down on these groups in a real way, so the real joke is on them, they just don't know it yet. In the meantime, buy only from reputable sellers or at least through a company with an escrow service and buyer protection offered like eBay or Amazon so if you get ripped off you can easily report it and be made whole.

Great thorough review! I appreciate the pros and cons you called out on this model. How do you like the performance after owning it for six months? If this product lasts longer and performs I would highly consider the spend. Weighing the total price paid for three Roombas over time plus the cost to replace the one we have now with the self-emptying model, and anticipating another overpriced underperforming iRobot unitasking product makes me cringe. We started to look at other products and want something quieter and more efficient (washing the floors, quieter operation, and better mapping, are all huge pluses). We currently play "Where's Roomba" since it gets lost and needs to be retrieved manually and returned to the dock, and our home is not that large. Thanks for the fantastic review, I just subscribed and cannot wait to see what other content you have. Thanks, Lynn
Good video! Thanks for the info. Is this a sponsored/affiliated video or an honest review? Curious as how many robot hoovers/cleaning devices have you used? Are they because the product gets sent to you for an affiliate / honest review?
9:04 I'd also be concerned re the cost of replacement parts as judging from that screenshot, a rough average would be around 300hrs per part and there seems to be a lot of them. That's not very long if you plan on using it on a regular basis, as I was planning on doing. At $1400.US (or $2600.AUD for me) I just couldn't justify the price on something that appears to wear out so quickly.
I have the S6MaxV and absolutely love it. At the time when I bought it (2+ yrs ago) it was definitely the most advanced auto vacuum on the market. From the lidar mapping to the AI object detection (only 1 at the time to have this), it was leaps & bounds better than the competition. This, however, brings it to another level. The fact that it can mop and autolift when it senses carpet is insane. That’s one thing I don’t like about the S6 Max is having to map out the no-mop zones so when I run the mop its only vacuuming and mopping non-carpeted areas so I rarely use that feature. This solves that problem. I’d buy it in a heartbeat if it wasn’t so damn expensive though. I was lucky enough to buy mine on prime day a few yrs back for $450 then it shot back up to $699. Also, watch with running these things too much. I was running it TWICE/night (crazy, I know, have a dog so I figured why not?). After about 1.5 yrs, the one wheel stopped working and I had to get it replaced which cost me about $60 and was back within a week…
@@abbyk9289 it’s tremendous. I got it mainly for my dog in case he went the bathroom in the house (puppy at the time) and I didn’t want the vacuum painting my floors with you know what. That never happened thankfully but his toys are left out everywhere and every night when I check my indoor camera, I can see the vacuum going around all the toys on the floor and not pushing them throughout the room. It definitely still nudges a few of them from time to time and isn’t 100% perfect but it does a solid job overall. I’ve still found it to not do great with cords though. Every once in a while it will wrap itself in out iphone charger cord…
Hey thanks for the great video. I just discovered your channel. I burst out laughing when you said it’s almost like starting a leaf blower inside your house.
I'm a sucker for gadgets lol. I have to admit, my wife is really not. Which is why she was so against us buying a robot vacuum for the house. However, after RobotNox went out of their way to explain how the vacuuming process worked and how it could help us save time on our cleaning schedule, she felt much more comfortable with the purchase.
I wonder if someone could 3d print a canister 🤔 I’ll investigate and see if I can come up with something. I mean, dyson uses canisters. I’m sure something could be designed for this.

Eufy has the L35+ on sale now for $300. It has auto empty and mopping and LIDAR. Downside is that the mopping on it just drags around a pad and you have to set that up eafh time.
Is this a complete overkill for a 36 square meters apartment? I hate vacuuming, so I went into a rabbit hole with robot vacuums and fount this. The auto refill thing looks amazing to me.
Now this is a robot vacuum I've been waiting for, it's only yet to evolve a tad more like it needs to be 2 to 3 times as high to hold sonar for house pets, 2 lidar cameras for depth perception of smaller objects or odd floors and able to decipher curtains over objects. larger battery with UV light. Touch sensors on the brushes, heck maybe even a claw that comes out to move little things onto the back of it. Oh yeah and be under 1,000. 😉
I'm currently thinking of getting rid of my i7+, which is good but lacks especially the mopping feature. It's getting louder and it's performance gets worse even though, I'm doing anything I can to maintain it and have it clean itself - it also can't really charge itself anymore and I've got no clue why (positioning on the dock seems to be wrong or whatever even though it's all cleaned properly). It's just showing it's age, I guess. Also, I do not like that it needs lights. Sure, most of my lights are smart and with simple integrations, the lights are being turned on and off whenever in need. But I do live in a basement. Naturally, my flat is rather dark in some parts and it's just a pain. Especially if the integrations or lights fail for whatever reason. Been looking for a replacement and the Roborock S7 MaxV seems to be one of the best if not the best robot vac currently on the market. Considering it's price, I'd say for the features, it's actually rather cheap (or okay). The i7+ was roughly €850€ and a dedicated (!) mopping bot (same brand because of their ecosystem lol) would be at least €300€-€400€. So, all in all, I'd use up space for two bots and still would've paid a little less compared to this. The price is easily justified for me by the convenience features like auto mop cleaning and emptying as well as refilling of water. Sure, it's a premium bot but I've come to love these things. Really. I just love that I can invite people over whenever I want and know that my flat is clean enough most times. I love that I can be away and come back to a vacuumed flat. My entrance and kitchen are vacuumed daily. It's just amazing. For my mom, it has been a pleasure, too. She's got a cat and... Yeah, they do leave debris behind - it's a noticeable difference.
Very enthusiastic and thorough review of the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. Too bad that you didn't test the mopping feature to its limits. I'm not convinced that any robot mop without rotating brushes can effectively mop a dirty floor.
someone tested the vibrating mop of the roborock s7 plus against rotating mop of narwal t10. surprisingly, vibrating one give better result and less visible mopping mark. the video is somewhere on youtube
@@izzerstennisscorekeeper3971 Yes, I did buy it. No robot will be very good at large spills, but for the smaller, everyday kinds of sticky patches, it really does clean it up. It doesn't push dirt around at all.
The price is really what's holding these things back, even a cheap robo vacuum that just does a shoddy job of quickly vacuuming the main parts of your house costs enough to pay a cleaner to come by for a few hours twice a month for a long while. These more expensive ones even more so, and they still can't replace a cleaner who can clean on top of and inside of things in your house.
It helps reduce your weekly workload, which is the point. I’m iffy on hiring outside help, as I try to limit how many outsiders know about my expensive things. You could easily end up with the wrong type, who might tip off her no-good thieving BF. Roborock will give more peace of mind, as you can always use it to scope out your house while away - which is great in conjunction with a dedicated security system.
For me a robot vac/mop like this didnt make sense until I got pets. With pets I need to clean the floor a lot more than other cleaning tasks. At least every other day, it wouldnt make sense to hire a cleaner that often just to sweep/mop.
I got a modestly cheap vacuum robot (300€, roughly the same in $) and unless you pay the cleaner 1$ pro time, it costs less. Sure, it doesn't mop or empties itself (as if we couldn't do that anyway), the only thing is it lacks mapping. In my opinion it makes a huge difference. Not saying it's too much of a hassle without it, I just pick things on the floor (including carpets which I make it vacuum before) and set the Virtual Wall and objects in places where it gets stuck, but it would be nicer to just start it without worrying. Anyway, it does its job, no more dust and dirt on the floor, and no more bending and having to fatigue with the deafening sound of the vacuum in my ears.
I have a question. I noticed white lines and scratches on the robot front bumper, because it usually hits walls,furniture,etc.. while cleaning the room. How you protect it? I tried to clean it, but they are still there. Thanks
I love my S5 Max as well, would not want to give it back. Looking forward to the day, when I will buy a more advanced one, but I hope that mine will last for a couple more yours. FYI if the robotic gets stuck on a place more than once it will avoid it. Mine tried to move up on my tabelfeet at te beginning but never done it again since than.
I tried roborock S7 and when I use mop, it leaves its wheels marks on my hard wood floor. Any idea what I am doing wrong, since I don't see this being reported in any of the reviews anywhere?
For that price it should have an inboard self cleaning mop like the dreame l10s ultra, without the mop my eufy l60 has all the same features for 300 bucks.
I’ll never purchase or spend $2100 on a cleaning kit that doesn’t even have a storefront. I just imagine how much fun it is to try to get warranty work done.
We have to pay $25 an hour for cleaning due to the high taxes and such in our state. Our house is large - 15,000 square feet. Our cleaning lady comes once a week, and in 3 hours, can only cover about 1/3 of the house. We have to pay someone extra if we want the other stuff cleaned. This robot would pay for itself in about six months.
Really liked this review. I have two 3 year-old S6 models, one for each floor in the house. They are both remarkable, and now I'm ready to move on. Trying to decide between the S7 MaxV Ultral and the S8 (to be released soon). So far, I think the S7 wins. I was amazed to see that you easily mapped the second floor, but I just wanted to verify with you: After I've mapped the first floor, I can simply move the unit to the second floor for mapping. I won't need to bring the docking unit with it? Thanks very much!
@@fatguyonalittlebike3336 When you are 75 years old, you'll understand why you'd like a model that does both vacuuming and floor washing. The S6's have been passed on to friends who have never had a robot vacuum. Not that anyone needs your approval. Not that everyone needs to make value judgements on other people's business.
Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Mop 2 Pro has 80% these features for about 20% of the price (I got it for around $300): ► mops and/or vacuums with 5000 Pa (S7 Max is 5100Pa) ► does various mopping patterns and shakes/vibrates the mopping pad to scrub the floor ► lidar took 10 minutes to map my 100m² house marking the walls and furnitures ► works in the dark ► can handle 5 floors ► seems to have the same software as the s7max moving around smartly and gently, not bumping into things ► can start from any point of the mapped house ► I can mark no-go and no-mop areas ► I can control the order of rooms and type of action, suction power, amount of water used for each room ► it also provides status report via voice in 10 selectable languages (its English has a funny very very heavy Asian accent though) No dock and no camera though, but question whether they are worth the extra $1300 you paid for the S7MaxV

Thanks
This is worth the investment!!
Anything on repair-ability and servicing when something goes wrong?
More importantly is how many years will this machine last.
I believe you shouldnt use cleaning solutions lest you want to block the nozzles.
Its not pancake lens for large format?
what about privacy concerns regarding the camara/recordings?
I love my S5 Max as well, would not want to give it back. Looking forward to the day, when I will buy a more advanced one, but I hope that mine will last for a couple more yours.
FYI if the robotic gets stuck on a place more than once it will avoid it. Mine tried to move up on my tabelfeet at te beginning but never done it again since than.
How is the suction power of S5 Max? Does it work on low pile rugs? The price of S5Max seems good and it may be more suitable for my apartment.
could u review the airrobo T20?
What about cleaning smell?
I tried roborock S7 and when I use mop, it leaves its wheels marks on my hard wood floor. Any idea what I am doing wrong, since I don't see this being reported in any of the reviews anywhere?
For that price it should have an inboard self cleaning mop like the dreame l10s ultra, without the mop my eufy l60 has all the same features for 300 bucks.
Can it go up and down stairs? Can it clean cars?
I was all for it! Even ready to spend like $500- $600. But once I looked at the price… I decided to just continue doing the cleaning myself
SAME😂
So can you program multifloor? If so, how many floors?
4 if I'm correct. 4 maps are to be saved.
I’ll never purchase or spend $2100 on a cleaning kit that doesn’t even have a storefront. I just imagine how much fun it is to try to get warranty work done.
Will the roomba j7+ really only work with a $29 subscription?!?
1400$ is a bit much for this gadget, but it’s really good despite the price tag of it. 😅
Why would you move on if they are both remarkable? Seems super wasteful
@@fatguyonalittlebike3336 Consumer must consume
It even suggest what you should have for dinner
What's the privacy policy regarding lidar mapping? Are consumers able to keep it local and not get transmitted back to iRobot's servers?
Robotnox is guaranteed for life
What are you talking about? That dirty water aint look that dirty to me
This is proper flirting
Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Mop 2 Pro has 80% these features for about 20% of the price (I got it for around $300):
► mops and/or vacuums with 5000 Pa (S7 Max is 5100Pa)
► does various mopping patterns and shakes/vibrates the mopping pad to scrub the floor
► lidar took 10 minutes to map my 100m² house marking the walls and furnitures
► works in the dark
► can handle 5 floors
► seems to have the same software as the s7max moving around smartly and gently, not bumping into things
► can start from any point of the mapped house
► I can mark no-go and no-mop areas
► I can control the order of rooms and type of action, suction power, amount of water used for each room
► it also provides status report via voice in 10 selectable languages (its English has a funny very very heavy Asian accent though)
No dock and no camera though, but question whether they are worth the extra $1300 you paid for the S7MaxV
Where'd you get it for $300 cuz I only see it for $700
@@coredadventure1 $700 for a Mop 2 Pro?? It's 112,000 HUF which comes to $278 as of today. I am talking abou tthe model MJST1SHW (Exact name = Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2 Pro)
@@gerGoPrint3D okay I'll try again but I Googled exactly what you had in your comment... xiaomi robot vacuum mop 2 pro
@@coredadventure1 Maybe it's priced differently in different parts of the world. I bought this in Hungary, Europe. Where are you located?
@@gerGoPrint3D oh no wonder I'm in Colorado in the United States where everything is horribly priced! It's hard living ! Thank you though!
My J6+ has a built in LED to go under beds. I have never had an error saying it was to dark
Does it understand not to mop carpets?
People saying it’s expensive, the new roombas are the same price lol.
