The Vale of Neath Railway

- A video showing some of the stations along the Vale of Neath Railway for Train Simulator Classic. Currently I have modelled Pontypool Rd to Glynneath, but hope to extend all the way to Neath eventually. There's a few stutters, and the speeds are a little fast here and there, but this is due to my ageing editing software. If you're a Train Simulator user, and you'd like the route it's available here, requirements are in the included Read Me.

It makes it very unique with having routed like these with scenarios
It's a time thing Tommy. The route building takes a long time, and working, and trying to keep the wife happy, means that there's only so much I can get done, especially in the summer. Come the Winter, I hope to complete the route to Neath Riverside and write a couple of scenarios for it.

Hi Ben. Sorry to reach put on CZcams. But do you have any books or research material you'd recommend when it comes to the old stations of Neath? I'm particularly interested the locations and old photos. But I've found it difficult thus far. Kind regards, Alun.
@alunrhydderch1786 Hi there. I didn't manage to get any books on the Neath area I'm afraid. Most of the research I did on the area was online by trawling through images on Google, or doing searches on various railway Facebook groups. It's amazing how much stuff is out there. I can recommend the National Library of Scotlands map archive though.

I'm hoping to extend my Rhondda Tunnel route from Treherbert all the way to Aberavon one day. Currently, it's only Treherbert to Cymmer.
Amazing work. Out of interest does it go as far as Neath Riverside Station on simulator?
Currently only as far as Glynneath. Hoping to extend to Riverside in the future.

how come these are not on the train simulator download site and not avaliable to buy?
Because I make them using assets from other routes. If you visit the 'Recreating Britains Lost Railways' Facebook Page, you will find many of my and others routes available to download.
