What do you think of KFC compared to other fried chicken options?
It's the best of all fried Chicken the original recipe that is!!!
Kentucky Fried Chicken has not changed the Original Recipe it's cooked the same way and it's ate the same way now as it was then!
I love KFC...
Mr Sanders's early business before become a CEO.
History.
I have ate at Sanders Cafe for many years when I moved to Corbin. My mother-in-law worked for the Colnel himself when she was young
How cool!
Same! I was born in Corbin and also have ate there for years. I honestly don't even know or rember if I been to a normal KFC lol.
That’s Cool
Did you know that Dave Thomas (founder of Wendy's) first job was for the Colonel?

How I hate that we can’t get the original recipe anymore… now it’s just less crispy extra-crispy, because they’ve done without the pressure cookers is why I’ve heard… and I would get both, but I loved the original recipe!!! So soft, tender, and dreamy!!! ❤
PS I’m from Kentucky and love the name!!! I’m so proud of it!!! I remember when I was a kid, I’d be so shocked when I’d see a Kentucky Fried Chicken in other states! Lol!
We got two separate fryers: one for original and one for crispy. We also use different flour for each recipe so you either got chicken that was a bit over cooked or breaded wrong
@@wbr0103 that’s good! Around here, in Kentucky, the original is big soft and tender like it used to be, it’s like extra crispy with just less crunchy on it… it’s a shame too as I loved original recipe before!!! Thank you for the information!
I love KFC!
Wonderful story! :-)
KFC should bring back the grilled chicken recipe
My favorite Fried Chicken Ever!
Loved their giblet gravy back in the day.
When they said he would inspect the restaurant that meant he would order food and if it wasn’t up to his standards he would lock the doors and give a master class right then and right there
Cool
I’d love to try Extra Crispy KFC but we don’t have it in Australia. 😟
It's not good, you're not missing anything!
I think original is better, mho.
Fly to Singapore, and eat Hot & Crispy chicken 🍗🙂
Sounds like I need to visit Australia! Lol… In the US we no longer have the true original recipe! I mean we can order, but in recent years it’s turn into nothing the same as it used to be…
Go to a shoe store, buy some shoes. Remove shoes from box and then fry the box. Tastes just like extra crispy chicken. Dry, nasty and boring.
Great chicken , cooked very well and delicious when you eat.
Now ya made me hungry🤣🤣🤣
Sanders' Cafe and Motel wasn't listed in the "Green Book" 😉
I'm STILL prefers KFC wooden exterior designs tables, seats & whole restaurants back then in the 80s in Singapore.
I've always loved KFC plain biscuits besides the chicken breasts, or plain chicken sandwiches.
KFC use to have this sweet smell centuries ago it was the 2nd best in So-Cal #1 was Pioneer Chicken
Jus so ya know ..KFC get chicken from local suppliers ..always delivered fresh. It gets marinated n cooked within a few days the new chicken arrives 3 days later. Kinda the way Wendy's get their fresh beef . It's never frozen so has to come locally
I prefer original recipe. I am of sound mind!
The first KFC is located in Salt Lake City and was invented by a man named Colonel Harman.
Honestly, I prefer the original recipe over the extra crispy. Crispy is good, but it falls right off.
I need KFC in my country... we lack more international franchises (also i want to try it)
Worst quality control of any fast food franchise.
I grew up in north Louisiana. In the 60s and 70s the nearest Kentucky fried chicken was in east Texas about 40 miles away. We would make the drive and the restaurant was a sit down affair with waitresses who took your orders.
Those where the days when you knew the food was divine so you didn't need to pray over it first. Now you gotta pray over it and hire a priest to bless it and put a little holy water on it. And then after you eat it you pray again cause if you don't you get so gassed up it hurts.😜😜🤣🤣😂😂
If you watch old videos of the Colonel making his chicken he used a egg wash so the coating would stick to the chicken. Now to save money and time they soak the chicken in water. BIG companies have ruined the original recipe in the name of profits. Colonel Saunders would roll over in his grave if he knew what they have done. Near the end of his life he opened his own restaurant and was sued , as he did not like what the large companies di to his chicken , as the quality sunk in the name of profits , so sad.BT
Back when the chicken was edible and wasn't $40+ for a bucket, its unfortunate.
@NM it was amazing back in the day, no cap
Been to KCF a couple of times in the last 6 months, I used to really enjoy the gravy, the last 4 times, it tastes like brown flour, absolutely no taste. Did they change the receipe or just watering it down???
They changed the original gravy recipe to save money not long after he sold the company along time ago just to make more money a franchise owner told me and my father that and he also said if Mr. Sanders knew that that he would turn over in his grave.!!! 😂😂🤣
Maybe a little of both. Also things that could be substituted for cheaper substitutes might also be why
Yes they did change the gravy recipe I was told by the owner of a franchise KFC restaurant that if Col. Sanders knew that he would turn over in his grave and that was back in the 80s I think it was.
so the food is less disgusting
Beyond chicken is NOT KFC
@Star TrekFan_1701 Beyond chicken is NOT CHICKEN 🐔🤣

KFC used to have RIBS?
I miss the real colonel sanders.
Their chicken now does not taste anything like it used to. No only that the birds they fry up are scrawny and contain less meat. Add to that $30 for a bucket of chicken is a deal breaker. I'll fry my own.
I prefer original recipe, thighs only.
Same me too. I ONLY choose Original thighs.
Seems other fast foods are constantly changing their menu items, taking some items away, then reappearing, adding new items, secret menus etc. KFC not so much. Tried & true in their minds.
Interesting
didn't he steal someone's recipe...
Now KFC isn't like it was in the 1970,s the chicken isn't the same any more, can't even hardly taste the salt or the 11 herbs and spices, because it's just not used anymore. Even the Cole slaw used to be bright green crispy and had that zing to it. Now the Cole slaw is flat, mushy and white, with no zing to it. The fries are uuhh. The price is a rip off, and in Canada their all owned and operated by Indo Canadians, no offence I do have lots of good East Indian friends. Even the size of the chicken your served is so fricken small, I mean holy crap, do all the chickens now come in as midgets only? Their grown in a cage right from birth and the cage is so low that the chicken never even gets to stand up or walk around like free range chickens. They don't even use the 11 herbs and spices any more, only a little salt. Over priced under sized and crappy fries and mushy Cole slaw, that no longer has that good old zing taste. And when your making your order the one serving you keeps cutting you off asking you this and that, but if they'd shut up and just let me make my order they wouldn't need to cut me off and ask the same stupid questions in the first place. Today's KFC sucks!!!!! 🤮🤮🤮🤮😇👎👎👎👿💩💩💩💩💩
it's true the recipe as changed you could see and smell the flavour in the skin and the bones somebody's changed it and it wasn't hard the skin was crispy but softer
You didn't disclose that he shot and killed a competitor with a shotgun in the early days who would continuously repaint his billboard. Apparently he was a spicy character in the early years.
the man was shot but did not die.
What are you talking about? Extra Crispy sucks. It has always sucked.
Too bad it's never been good!
