Oh my God Bruf buy a mud pump and no that's definitely humped to much mud on that flat at least that's what it looks like from the video, I own the same brand of tools they used to be called Premiere then they change their name to Blue Line now something else lol did you know here in America we invented those machines back in 1939 👍 just a little bit of History lesson
hey Tommy, yeah I definitely need a pump. they are great tools, yeah i heard they were invented in the states, such a good invention too!
Sure wouldn't hurt to let the fill coat mud dry before second coating. What's the point if the fill coat is still wet?
Why you coating over wet mud. Were is your pump bro.
Lot of north american guys talking about stuff they dont know about. Premier and blue line are american branded versions of 'tape pro' and Australian company, also its typical to use chemical setters there for tape and first coat. That said im canadian, not these guys, sure you could get an answer out of max tho
Also boxes werent invented till the early fifties. By the ames brothers tho yes. And in Georgia, but not in the 30's like you had said. Flat boxes were invented in 51 if im remembering correctly
I paint and I love how these ceilings look. Light sanding and they are ready to prime. Good job
Thanks 👍
Man. I watched this video two years ago and I still come back all the time just because it's so mesmerizing
Even though Im not a plasterer I find watching this incredibly satisfying. I really appreciate another's skills
Iam a Drywall Finisher and i can tell you that this guy is doing a superb job,i started out useing a trowel and a pan and harper sometimes, i taped, muded and finish a whole two story house useing the old school way of mudding before i got trained in useing the box and all the newer tools and i tell you what i atleast cut a 10hr day into a five hour day,i still like my towels but the new age tools are wonderful...
Beautiful job. Hands of gold feathering out everything
I am a diesel locomotive tech and I can tell you that those joints are tight - not humped at all... I know this because loco techs deal with all problems.
Nice work. Guessing by the shorts that you are in Australia. Great place! Spent 6 months there in 1999.
Good to see these again, we(three guys) used them in the late 70's, tape bazooka, two skim coats( final skim coat the next day and sand) corner blocked an entire house in a day, didn't need to use the skim knife, just pump n go!
Started off in the morning mixing 8-9 buckets of mud and staging them throughout the house, a great way to put on muscle too!😉😄
Yeah nice my friend. I bet you would've seen much change over your career. I heard at one stage you could only rent these toos...What country your from Sebastian
By the way thanks for watching, I'm privileged to have you here!
Bro this is a nice tool makes it way more easier to finish . And better quality of work. Nice video 👍🏻👍🏻
As soon as i saw the boots and shorts i knew where he was from
I would suggest getting an acid brush which is about a 2-foot handle keep it in a bucket of water it's nice to clean your box off occasionally occasionally.
A clean box makes clean joints
I’m watching you from SC USA I’m a finisher here and your work it’s amazing 😻
That PVC handle for your knife is sick bro gonna give that a shot haha
Just another point by using the paddle after the box you take the crown out of the joint, the boxes with the spring in the blade leave the joint slightly crowned that way when you get a small amount of shrinkage the joint ends up pretty flat and when you go over it with either a second coat box or a topping box it follows the same crown and you don't get pinholing in your top coat if you use it pump you don't get The Dag in the mix as you have got in your ceiling with a bit of practice you can go over the joint with the box one pass leave it and top it and you will double your speed using the boxes in that way ,you are not much quicker than trailing by hand it still is a bit but you could double your speed by not using a paddle sorry for the long rant
I hear you man. Makes sense. Just every now and then you get some debris in the way, and the paddle is good for taking that out instead of doing it again. What boxes are your first choice? What do you like the best?
Awesome tool . Would have saved me a shit load of time doing my home reno . aussie tradies , love it .
Jon P81 yeah great tool.
Good Job is a remodel and as you know is much harder give you a credit for that !
Yeah thanks. We didn't do the fixing but we made it good
Very good job and fast work believe or not it all about the time u will spend on the job These new tool make everything nice and smooth n gas imagine that u have the the knife n the box in ur hand how long it will take u
I’ve never seen flat boxes being used on remounts mostly on new work I’ve been doing plaster and drywall work for over 35 years most of the time or use a banjo in stilts would like to buy one of these just to try it out also I like that homemade finish 918 inch on a pole that’s pretty cool I have One of those did so much finish work with that I wore clean out I just bought a brand new one
Eddy Adkins I actually enjoyed reading this comment moreover watching the video
Excelente trabalho amigo 👏👏👏👊😎Saudações do Brasil 🇧🇷
Absolutely mind blowing
In the U.S.A. Our boxes stay latched shut and we’ve a pump that connect to a tube that fills them through an insert hole.
Yeah I know the pump. It's much easier . I agree. No mess as well. Thanks for watching Leon
very impressive. Thank you
My first thought was that he was using a really cheap flat box to apply the mud, then finish by hand, but that box is just as expensive as the rest.
As far a using a pump, that's another $350+. Maybe you don't want to spend that much money. I know If I get a flat box, I will probably fill it by hand or create my own pump. Those things are expensive and a pain to clean from what I hear.
Regardless, he's putting that mud on the ceiling much faster than he could by hand.
Old school to new school. I don’t drywall much now but this is temping me to buy bazooka......
Muy buena herramienta... mais grande do mundo...
Omg thk for sharing that amaizing machine wow stunnig

I like that top coat (CSR)
Yeah, after I just got through mudding up for 2.5 days and sanding 26 sheets on the ceiling using my pan and knives.
I hated sanding before i got my machine.
hello nice job body !!!! do you have to sand once you have passed the large spatula ? and how much does it cost to buy this joint box
Sometimes!! Lol!! I can remember growing up going on jobs with my dad and my uncle if I said we should be fishing uncle J would pack it up and we would go. Those where the days.
Haha sounds good. I used to love it when we were working outside and it starts to rain, I would talk it up like it was going to bucket down so we better stop.
I feel like fishing now...
めっちゃキレイ!

João Batista Gomes Pereira , nois aqui até uma parafusadeira dá trabalho p achar, kkkkkk, e tão simples q parece né ? É aqui a gente não acha essas coisa.
Ebay
I'm just old school I guess but smooth as butter
It looks like your boxing over a wet bed coat, both coats will dry and the seam will show....unless im missing something..i had tape tech tools, one of the very first sets out back in 74, (oh boy showing my age) took awhile to get used to the bazooka though esp. taping the angles.
I was running one of those on everything 8’ and under when I was 9 years old.
nice job!
Nice video , made my shoulders burn just watching this. Also tell your guy that we can appreciate his focus on his work but maybe if he responded to you once in a while that would be nice . It's like you're talking to yourself or trying to make a friend unsuccessfully. Just saying . You guys busted that job out like a couple of bosses though . Again great fn video!!!
Do you not have a pump for the boxes here in north America we have pumps that fill through the application slot
Super cool
Very nice job, I want to know where did you get the tool from . Excellent 👍👍👍

Привет всем.
Скажите, а после нанесения краскопультом краски на потолок и стены не будут видно швы??
Или нужно сначала нужно грунт поставить а
потом краску.
Кто может дать ответ.
Looks like nice clean work.. I watched my old man use a hawk and trowel his whole life... so you do as the old man says. He prob kill me if he saw me use one of these. It might explain why his hands go numb now in his older age.
These tools are probably older than your dad. They're ww2 technology
good job thank you how much they pay four hour doing tayping in Australia
Haha "that was a nice joint mahn", took that out of context....lol
That is amazing anybody that's ever done drywall will agree
Thanks you should check out my other videos using that tool just search tapepro
God enlightens you O brother
Thanks g
I have a pump cuz I do the corners and angles with a it
You should be using 3 boxes. 8.10.and 12 inches. 1st coat with base then 2nd and 3rd with watered down and drilled topping compounds. You should also be using a pump with a meshed filter to fill your box. Then u don't get dry bits of compound stuck to the blade on the box creating a drag line through your work
nice work
Bueno viejo.exelente
Yes i speak facts, the humidity where ur at must be a 100%.cant coat over wet mud in any climate.ill show pi s of the houses i do if u so chose.not knocking u brother just saying what i know.😉
is it just me or it looks so satisfying putting that perfect coat of mud in 1 swoop
I like the box,I wet sand to finish up my skim with a car wash sponge & water...Peace Stay Strong
Thanks Anthony... Will do!
Yeah I've heard people doing that with a sponge but never tried it myself. I will have to give it a go.
How do you do this, sounds really interesting?? damp sponge and lightly go round the edges and a bit across the middles?
TheB0123 a quick wipe with a damp tile sponge is all it takes to feather out any edge. A dense tile sponge (small holes) for finer feather and a big hole sponge worked well with a pour tape job(rough passes).
What do they put corners crown molding
oh! good job
The flatbox only use for finnel coat or can use for under coat too??
You make this look very easy, hoe long does it take to get the hang off? I'm a plasterer, I've only done a bit of taping. But several years ago I smashed my elbow to bits on site but these tools look they might enable me to earn a living again.
Verry Nice Job perfect 👏👏😎
Thank you very much!
Good work
Thanks for that.
Awesome videos

How do you guys go with the ultra top? I had a lot of trouble with bubbles creating pin holes. I am a builder who does extensions, so I only have a little experience with plastering....
Yeah it always happens when you go over something that's already painted. Also I should always give it a proper mix up before I use it otherwise it's difficult to put on.
@@Maxkil thanks for the help brother if you're ever in Canberra hit me up I want to buy you a beer
do you guys sand it and all so the home owner can paint straight away?
Is it a bevelled drywall knife you run after the box?
