*Thank you so much for posting this. This how my mom made bread dumplings. She passed away in 2009, and she did not have the recipe written down. I watched her make them, but I am not the cook she was. This video is like watching my mom! She made them every Sunday, and I was amazed at how hard she worked, just like you Nana!* ❤ *I'll never forget the bowl of bread on top of refrigerator getting dried out. Thank you all so much. God bless!* ❤

Thank you "NANA", what an awesome recipe. Im from the Czech republic, living in New Zealand. We never make dumplings in my country, we always buy them in the shop. But as I dont live there anymore i had to make home made dumplings. I used your recipe and it worked so well!!!! Instead of boiling them i steam them tho ....

Your mom is delightful! This is so cute! It feels like we are right there with you as she is making them. My husband is Bohemian and I do a tomato gravy/beef with these dumplings. They are wonderful homemade. Thanks for the step by step instructions. Do you freeze them once they are done?

They do expland greatly in the water, but I can watch them deflate once I take them out. Hmmm. The videos are great, I'll keep practicing. Thank you!

Thank you. Oh, yes I love to have some in the freezer if they don't all get eaten when we make them. :) We generally make them the day before a big gathering and sometimes there are no leftovers.

Wow, hard to say, sounds like it might be the yeast? Could it haev expired? They should expand greatly in the water if the yeast is good too. If you follow all 3 videos, it should work. good luck!

But how much water and milk. My mom made bread dumplings by memory, but she passed away. This is the only video tha reminds me of how hard she worked. ❤

Help! My dumplings look perfect in the boiling water but keep deflating as soon as I take them out and turn into hard rubbery little lumps. What am I doing wrong? My grandma used to make these and can't wait to pour some svickova gravy over them!
