  • Our vstar 1100 is ready to be chopped and bobbed. I always get the bike to this point before I order parts for it. This lets me see the frame, swing arm, electrical wiring, and forks a little bit better so I can get a good idea of what will look good and feel somewhat comfortable. We got broomstick style handlebars, a universal bobber solo motorcycle seat, led taillight with license plate holder, and some chrome spiked grips. The headlight that came on it is already an aftermarket LED, and we are just going to rock a straight pipe exhaust job for now. Maybe throw some tips, small mufflers, or turndown pipes on it down the road, but just headers for now. They give a fairly deep sound and yes, it spits fire. All 650 and 1100 vstars / dragstar bikes will be almost identical to this, 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 and 2009. Hopefully this gives you insight and ideas for your bobber, scrambler, brat, or cafe racer project. Comment with any questions you may have. Enjoy!

The liter+ size japa cruisers can be picked up used for next to nothing in my area with low miles / summer only use
It’s amazing what you can do with “budget” builds with these from what I have seen.
With the added bonus of pretty much bullet proof engine reliability and decent electronics !

Yeah that's just it, super cheap and ultra reliable bikes! The rover is doing awesome, its seemingly the most reliable vehicle I own. Which is funny because you always hear what a money pit they are and how they are always broken. Not mine! It's a 400hp crazy luxurious soccer mom suv lol
