You are super lucky you had the common sense to not touch that fish. That was a scorpion fish, super venomous and considering you were out alone and on a kayak , you my friend are very lucky in deed.
I was thinking the same thing
Yes I was fishing in those same spots before you were even born! A bit of info for you: that old bridge use to be open for fishermen and camping, yes people would put up a tent and fish all night. Down the other end is Bahia Honda which sadly is a lot smaller than when I use to fish it! Also in Key West there use to be several large beaches that attracted tourist and are now gone due to global warming along with several beaches in Marathon! I hope when you are my age you will not have to say the same thing!
Global warming caused the whole place to go underwater like all the beachfront property unfortunately
It's Florida. They won't acknowledge climate change until they are forced to move to Georgia🤣
Complete B.S.
Beaches erode. Usually because man-made structures that change currents.... dock, rocks, jetties, etc.
The high tide marks on sea walls haven't changed in 60 years.... Exactly the same.
That huge Jack crushing the lure right next to the kayak was actually one of the coolest things I’ve seen lol
Yeah that was really cool to rewatch and edit! Moments like that is why i bring the camera on the water! Tight Lines Lando!
@@FishAholicTV Can you tell me at the 4-5 min mark what song is that you used? I checked out the link from the description but under which category?
rad
this keys content is probably some of the best i’ve ever seen
agreed!
The little grouper is a graysby, sometimes called strawberry, but that is a nickname and also used for a number of other small grouper species.
That Jack chasing that bucktail in clear water was just awesome!!
Exhilarating!
what time in the video?
@@jtjt4827 12:35
Keys multi-species adventures are my favorite videos -- thanks and keep it up!
Excellent! Well done. Fascinating to follow your adventures.
12:57 EPIC! Love it, keep up the great videos!
That second Jack strike was absolutely insane!
LOVE THIS , Moving to the keys in a couple of weeks , i needed to see this video , fishin these bridges is a lifelong dream of mine , thank you for sharing this!!!
how's it been so far
Keep the Florida videos going there great!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Yes it was the old highway bridge. Some parts were also the very old train bridge. Several decades ago I hung out along the Keys just Fishing, snorkeling and truck camping. Loved it. Best
This is coming from a person born and raised in Florida and loves to fish, it is such an enjoyment to watch someone else from a different state come to our state and truly cherish the fishing we have and have a blast with it!
I live for these Florida keys vids. Im planning on moving to Florida in the next year or so & your channel is a big motivator why. Keep it up bro👊
There’s a lot of others CZcamss that fish Florida that would have you motivated more then this guy. But this dude is a fishing machine 💪🏽
Moving to Florida in July and these videos have been getting me so excited
BRO I live in florida and it is great
Please don't, we have to many people down here already! Lol
Come on, the fishings great!
@@theshadowbehindyou9631 your not wrong dude, here in florida we have a crap ton of people and old people that suck and driving, but it is a beautiful place
The Keys are fabulous. 36 years ago when I was in college a bunch of us spear fished from Key West to Largo, sleeping in our tents out on the beaches. We ate very well, conch, lobster, various fish. Nice to see your top water action
Much on land has changed since then. Waters are the same.
@@jimkennedy7050 last time I dived key west, live conchs littered the sea floor, because they are protected in those no-take areas. I speared an enormous grouper bigger than anything I saw in the early and mid 1980s. Whatever fishing management the state is doing there, it’s working well.
There are Goliath grouper near the Sanibel bridge. Those getting several hundred pounds. Charlotte harbor has surprises. It is God's country. For fishing.
@@jimkennedy7050 at first I did not like all those no fishing, no-take zones. But they are clearly working.
Another enjoyable video! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for us next 🤙
Great video! I think most guys would love to fish like this.
Love the videos, I feel like I’m with you on the water, keep ‘em coming !
Thanks Tom! Really glad to hear!!
Man now I really want to visit the keys.. I've really enjoyed this series. Great fishing, narrating and beautiful scenery. Nice work!
The Keys are magical and you can find places to fish from shore that are INSANE! Look at Google maps or be nice to the locals and you might be able to find a honey spot pretty easily!
Super cool content my guy. Those are some beautiful fish - great vid!
Awesome video! I always look forward to watching!
This is a great series, Rich!
Thanks FloBass!!
Just ordered some Fishaholic Shad lures from J&H the other night (same color you’re using) in 5” & 6.5” for the first time. Looking forward to using those here in Florida as well. Great vid!
Just found your channel, these videos are sick, makes me wish i live near the coast. The thrill of not knowing whats on the other end seems so exciting.
Great video! I'm at Curry Hammock SP in June. This video and your others are getting me pumped for the trip.
thats a truly awesome fishery your on.
NIce work. Had me on the edge of my seat. Bravo !!!!!
Fish at 16:25 is venomous. From the spines on his dorsal. Good call. Scorpionfish
I was thinking Lion Fish
@@cjbproductions9729 A Lionfish is a type of Scorpionfish but I do not believe this particular Scorpionfish is a Lionfish
@@cjbproductions9729 lion fish usually don’t bite on bait like that!
It’s a Lion Fish, yeah
@@b3nnyj0eZ no it's not
Loveing these Florida Keys videos!
Very high pitched woooo hoooooo!!!!!! Awesome!
Awesome content, Brother! That was my first time seeing someone kayak fish the 7mile.
Gonna check out more of your stuff!
-D
Awesome content Rich! Mono is much more forgiving around bridge piling's than braid.
The old time whalers used to call that the Nantucket sleigh ride.... keep up the great work!
Awesome! Thanks for the video!
I have not yet purchased my first craft but something tells me that always be prepared when exploring new deep water it's quite likely some of the best advice I'm ever going to get I appreciate you for that
That strike by the Boat was a great shot .... nice outing 🎣
Keep it up brother! Really enjoying the florida vids.. so interesting to watch this type of saltwater fishing, much less out of a kayak!
Thanks Bro!! I’ll try my best! Tight Lines!
The vids just keep getting better and better🔥
miles to go mate..... keep em cranking
Amazing video! Keep up the amazing work! Cant wait for part 4!
Park 5*
Great series!!! Great fishing!!! Keep up the great work.
Love the branded bills hat man!!! Rock those as well. Loved this video and keep up the hard work bro 🤙
Great spot!! Brings back memories!!
Jack's are fun!!! Another sweet video. Your videos make me wanna quit my job and just fish lol. Can't wait for my next day off to get out on the water.
Awesome man I do some real inshore kayak fishing but no pedals so cool to see you out that far and what a fight! Tight lines
Great fishing I hope to get over there from the UK once the COVID allows but your vids keep the juices flowing whilst waiting Thank you 👍👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Cool vid. The seven-mile bridge is such a great place.
Well done! Love this series
great video once again man love the channel, recently bought one of your hats and a sticker cant wait till they come in!
Awesome thanks Korey so much for the support!!
@@FishAholicTV anytime man 🙏
After getting ghosted this is what I need
Forget that bro go fishing
We've all been there! Getting out on the water helps me forget the little annoying things.
Stay strong king 👑
Hahaha incel
A bunch of fish in the seas my bro
some of the best i’ve ever seen
looks like a fun little trip man! those grouper you were catching and calling gags are actually Black grouper, also called Carbos. If you ever want to take a trip to Tampa and come out with us your welcome to! inshore, offshore, kayaks- we do a little of everything here.
OMG! The casting and talking show!
Yeah brotha great catches! I finally bought a nice fishing Kayak and looking forward to hit the 7 mile bridge in the future...one spot area I'd like to share is the Channel #5 bridge area going the Atlantic side. I'm getting amazing reports right around the flats to the drop off areas. Permits, Tarpon, Sharks, Spanish Macks, Amber Jacks...I'd go in that area if I were you. So keep up the Florida Keys fishing! Love it!
Yeah that was sick when the jack got on that bucktail
I LOVE this video. More like this plz! Haha never stop fishing
love the video self isolating in the uk with covid looking forward to august when im going to Sanibel well done
The little "grouper" when you first tied on the bucktail is a Rock Hind! No size limit but you should check to see how many you're allowed to keep. Otherwise just be responsible catch what you can eat today.
Wow that is a very cool spot mate, supporting you from Perth, Australia. Have a good one.
yet another banger vid bro!! Watched every second🔥🤙🏼
Haha awesome Jack! Thanks for tuning in!!
@@FishAholicTV absolutely man!!
Really entertaining stuff bro! Greetings from South Padre! Keep up the good work 🙌🏼
love this series,
Kudos to you for getting our there on a kayak. I have fished a number of the bridges in the keys by land and small boat. Doing it in a kayak is not easy and as you saw can be dangerous with big hungry sharks ready to take your fish as you are getting them to the boat/kayak. The small dark groupers are black groupers and the little ones with the tiny dots are likely red hinds. Thanks for the videos!!
I LOVE IT!!! NICE JACKS!
Thanks for the video bro!
Always solid video bro. Everyone wants to catch Snook, Tarpon and Redfish. But the Jacks will always save the day:
Hey Rich you are pretty brave to do the trex in your kayak...large bull & hammerhead sharks there be there...I certainly appreciate ALL your efforts...thanks for a great video!!!
That jack coming up and destroying that buck tail was sick!!!!
Dude rich I gotta say man your editing skills have improved drastically since the start of your channel bro! 🤙🏼 🤙🏼 Live to Fish Fish to Live! Keep em coming brotha Man!!
Good stuff! Great trip.
Can't take the heat in Florida. My grandmother lived down there. I'm a cold weather person.
Feel ya, I grew up in the Phoenix area in Arizona, now I'm living in Manitoba enjoying my -40° weather.
You're a good Fisher man you got good content you're going places for sure
I love fishing !! I’m new so I’m starting in freshwater for now
The weeds you were snagging is Sargassum. It's the world's greatest fertilizer. I've always wanted to fish along that bridge in my kayak. Beautiful video. This gets me psyched up.
Worlds greatest fertilizer is leaf compost. Carbon nitrogen ratios are in perfect balance. It’s why trees lose their leaves in fall. Billions of acres of forests approve..and billions of soil microbes also agree.
Awesome video rich your gonna love key largo I’ve been there a few years ago it’s such a magical place to be go hand feed some tarpon too I did it and it was so dope
Again, cool vid!! keys are the best!!
Hey man your videos are dope! I just came across them and can’t stop watching! SUBBED
Jack is awesome catch pulling you around- Nantucket slay ride baby
I just got my hat in the mail! Can't wait to spread the word to my peeps while rocking it. Subscribers inbound!!
Amazing spot fishing bro.👍🙏🎣
Been watching alot of your vids, these keys vids are so good man! Those jacks are nice! Keep it up, learning so much from you! Thx! I wanna see you get a goliath grouper!
Great Vids love the keys great to see it from a kayak
Good ole slayride indeed!!!! LOLs love my fl jacks!!!!
Looks epic awesome i would love to go down there and fish in the future great video bro
Bridge trees Fred and Randi. It’s cool how the decorate them for Christmas.
The bridge didn’t disappoint great vid
You’re a beast bro! Keep it up 👍🏻
Glad you recovered from your shark attack, great video, mean Jaks!
You do realize that is the original bridge and the newer bridge is next to it. It is nice they left it and allow walkers and fishermen on it. I was amazed at the railings the whole length of the old bridges for people to walk. The expense must be huge for the minor amount of people on it.
It is amazing how those trees grow on the old bridge in the middle of the water. There is no dirt
thought i was concerned one time diving it & seen the Huge Hammerhead , until another time that under shade of Bridge found myself sorrounded by school of Tarpons while eyes were ajusting. Good place to be at.
Great video!!!
🎣😎🐟
Well done friend, beautiful video
If you stick the end through the loop you make before you tighten it it’ll make a stronger knot. I use it no matter what I’m fishing or I’m tying on.
Great fun as a kid many years ago
All these videos make me happy 😍😍😍😍😍👌
Gotta love fighting jacks! You’re making me miss the keys
haha I'm making myself miss the keys
That hack bite was insane!!
The Florida Keys are a great place to kick back and the fishing isn't half bad either.
That take from the jack. Doesn’t get better than that.
