Also death on the wind is useless on primary. They are unshocked in their command phase and fully count. Can just have some use to prevent defensive strats or for secondarys that count on the end of the phase
I'm actually perfectly happy with this, but I can understand why people are disappointed.
But seen as I don't agree with tournaments affecting the balance of the game (they can always do tournament rules), don't care about win rates (it's not of the book it's of one or two lists) and I don't call it piloting, none of these 'nerfs' bother me, this is the first supplement, expect more of this.
I'm a dark angels player first and foremost and have always avoided the bandwagoning, so none of that was a positive to me in the first place, I haven't lost anything.
But for those affected, my condolences, we are the iron hands of 10th, for now.

Well, I've been a Dark Angels player since their very first codex and at the time was shared with Blood Angels. I've seen some bad books and some good ones, this one seems not so great but I'll do what we all have done. Try, complain, win some, lose some. As of late GW has listened to the players complain and make changes to make us happier, that's why I'm not worried. I'm from a time when you didn't see changes for 3 to 4 years and you were stuck or shelf them till they got better. The Lion's first Datasheet in 9th sucked, but 10th was better. It's not great now but it's not that bad, and if enough noise is made to GW who knows. Forever DA, For the Lion.
Heartbreaking codex supplement. I'm extremely disappointed with it.
"Nothing changed" he says. Geesus man thats the exact opposite of what just happened to dark angel players. Everything is worse and half of it went to legends. With a 40% win rate NOT USING DA DETATCHMENT this army is literally way underpowered and worse in every other space marine detatchment. They aren't worth owning unless you enjoy hobbying and not ever playing them. They suck. And no deathwing knights don't hit hard they are -1 ap attacks and lost a dmg from 3 to 2 which is all the difference. Stop, please.
Im sorry but but please stop being such a GW fan boy and tell the truth. you seem to be more concerned about new plastic rather than the fact that the chapter has been ripped to pieces.
No command squad, no strike master, no talon master, only 5 man deathwing knight squads, and nearly everything else has been nerfed into the ground in one way or another.
The chapter has completely lost its identity and no amount of new models or pages of pictures stuck in to distract you will make up for it.
Wow the codex is just worthless
