As a history professor you must know that the democrats wanted to keep slavery and the republicans were against it. Also as a history professor you must know that over 100,000 union soldiers were actually from the south, they were called the volunteers. Also as a history professor you must know that there were lots of reasons for the civil war, and Haley was correct historically speaking, and that it rather silly the problem is she didn’t say slavery enough.

Presidential candidate Nikki Haley dodged a critical simple question on the 🇺🇲Civil War. I consider her not PRESIDENTIAL at this point. I learned crucial details on this topic during a college political science course. She avoided the question, UNACCEPTABLE.

Haley was right. Slavery was economic. Democrats pushed to maintain slavery as the main reason America could maintain its economic growth. Republicans freed the slaves.
The reason there was a civil war was because Lincoln used the US army to try to force the states that had seceded back into the union.
There were lots of reasons for the civil war. The democrats insisted on keeping slavery was one of them but there were lots of them. The only reason to ask this question is to pick her apart over not saying slavery enough? How stupid.

Black history is American history. The cruel, the bad and the ugly. Humanity and fighters for dignity, atonomy and respect is her base. If white people don't fit that, that's on them. HBCU's produce the best and the brightest. PWI's not so much. Black surgeons are not cutting off the wrong limbs, Black healthcare providers are not contributing to the premature deaths of Black people and Black attorneys are bringing and winning cases. White people have to spin a negative narrative about Black people to justify their insecurities and envious natures. By and large Black people don't put down PWI's, they just don't attend them. White people behave as if they're afraid of competition that an equal playing field will bring. It's as if they know that their superiority narrative when challenged will provide clear evidence that it is a load of bs. If excellence, creativity and resilience is her base, then I guess so.

I feel to understand why, in our party continue to bring up the Civil War. We have to understand that our Democrat party at that time has a terrible and despicable Legacy of slavery. The vast majority of individual, slave owners, and members of the political establishment in south were members of the Democrat party. Most recently, we had a United States senator in a leadership position who was a member of the KKK. The lake Senator Robert Bird, proudly was photographed in his KKK outfit. I find fortunately being in California. That we were taught about U.S. history, we were taught that the civil war had to do with the buying and keeping slaves . The North found it revolting and wanted stopped, the south ,wish it to continue. It was bloody and lots of lives were lost.
