Dr. Thomas helped Cristina's character grow more in 4 episodes than it did in 8 seasons. As a character, she became stronger and more mature and far more likeable while still being Cristina Yang.
One of the best scenes of the series, in my opinion. Understated with excellent acting on Sandra Oh's part, considering she didn't say a word.

We only knew him for 4 episodes but his death impacted me the most. This scene always gets me
this is my favorite scene of grey's anatomy, it brings me into tears every single time.
I loved the mentorship he gave "her" . She was different and what he told her was just exclusively for her. Some people are not understandable and I never saw Yang being told what she actually listened to. She respected him for his craft as well as his advice. It was a beautiful moment and homage to her character.
I can't even find the words for how this scene makes me feel... It's amazing.
I miss Dr Thomas...
I was hoping he gets to Seattle,and takes Teddy s place.
But when he died I was really shocked. But his speech to ChrIstIna, is beautiful.
I love the way this season has been treating Mere and Christina and their evolving relationships, with themselves and with the world around. It is easy for everyone to see how hardcore Christina is; she has been called a robot a lot of times but no one knows how much like a child she really was until this time.
When the song says Not a child.. that actually defines Christina and her coming off age! Thank you for this video.

*grin* you're here as well, MrJordanAz2...I will never ever love ANY moment better on Grey's than this one. Seriously, I had goosebumps all over...and he really was her role model, he somehow got her out of her shell a little bit more, I think. And even if his methods might have been "old fashioned", he, himself was ready to learn from Cristina - and then telling her she had greatness in herself! Just listen to those words, spoken by a renowned cardiothoracic surgeon - I DO believe in Cristina.
