2022 Toyota Tacoma Recall UPDATE

First time oil change some manufacturers will have break in additives in the oil that's why it's longer for the first oil change

You are correct. For the 2022 Tacoma, Toyota doesn’t specify waiting a certain period for the first oil change. The recommend every 10k miles/yr or 5k miles/6 months in special conditions. Some of those conditions are heavy towing, small trips in cold weather etc..
