  • Defence Updates: LCA Tejas In UAE, INS Vikramaditya Is Back, FATF Warns Pakistan, ALH MK3 Export
LCA Tejas In UAE: Tejas jets arrive in UAE to take part in its maiden foreign air exercise Desert Flag, which is a multilateral air exercise in which air forces from the UAE, France, Kuwait, Australia, the UK, Bahrain, Morocco, Spain, the Republic of Korea, and the US would be participating.
The indigenous light combat aircraft (LCA) Tejas is set to debut in a multi-lateral air exercise in the United Arab Emirates, the Indian Air Force (IAF) said on Saturday. 5 Tejas Fighter jets have been dispatched for UAE.
INS Vikramaditya Is Back: Indian Navy's aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya is carrying out sea trials post-refit, Indian Navy officials said on Monday, adding that the aircraft carrier is expected to complete the trials soon and is expected to perform operational roles.
Indian Navy operates MiG-29K fighter jets from the aircraft carrier. The 45,000-tonne aircraft carrier could hold as many as twenty MiG-29K fighters, along with utility helicopters, on its flight deck. At present, India has two aircraft carriers -- INS Vikramaditya and INS Vikrant.
FATF Warns Pakistan: In a stern message to Islamabad, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) on Friday said that Pakistan's progress in taking action on terror financing continues to be monitored. The comment came in the backdrop of Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin being seen publicly in Pakistan. It is noteworthy that Pakistan was removed from FATF's grey list last year, but still needs to complete two action plans under its commitments.
Indian Airforce Sends Mirage-2000 To UK: IAF on Sunday dispatched Mirage-2000 fighters and other aircraft for the 'Cobra Warrior' exercise in the United Kingdom.
The IAF has dispatched five Mirage 2000 fighters, two C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft and an IL-78 mid air refueller plane.
ALH MK3 Helicopter Export: The Indian Air Force on Friday has delivered the Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH Mk III) to Mauritius. The contract signed with Govt. of Republic of Mauritius in January 2022 for export of one ALH Mk III to Mauritius Police Force.
