    It’s HARD to dance and sing at the same time. HARD! She is wonderful! Such a fun band/group from back in the day! And the first one she thanked is GOD! Yesss!

      jeepee76 interesting. I always knew she was portrayed as singing a lot of Martha Wash’s parts, but I thought she sang some of her own too. Do you wanna get funky has two separate parts and singers, you say Zelma sings neither? She sure looks like she’s singing in this one too.

      credits to Zelma Davis here, for performing fully live while dancing at the same time, it's not easy. The studio vocals for Gonna Make You Sweat are credited to Martha Wash.

    They should have thanked the "real" voice that made the song ... Martha Wash!!! That song might not have even charted and maintained longevity if it wasn't for Martha Wash! LLMW!!!

      I believe there was an ongoing legal battle filed by Martha Walsh at this time so this may be why they didn't mention her name on the advice of legal counsel.

    • @LadyMocha
      @LadyMocha Před 7 měsíci

      @kekwayblaze3176 Not true that came many years later. They did not want Martha wash on the album because she was a plus size woman.

  • @MauriceRivers415
    @MauriceRivers415 Před 3 lety +7

    Everyone in that group should've been thanking Martha Wash. They could've easily just put Martha up there, had the backup dancers do all the work, and kept it authentic. Zelma Davis was purely for visual image.

    I find it ironic that even back then Freedom didn't wanna give credit to the real C+C, Rob and Dave but instead said the real C+C is the fans. SMH. He revealed his hand back then but we just didnt know it. I give credit to all the talent on that stage including Freedom, but the writers and producers, the real driving force behind C+C is Rob and David.. Hence their names are the band name....Clivillés and Cole.. It''s THEIR music factory! They should have given credit to Martha that night and she should have ALWAYS been a member of the group. Was glad when she did come back for the second album did a video and toured with them. Long live C+C. They are a GREAT POP act and legendary song writers. Not only for C+C, but for so many, Mariah, Trilogy, Seduction and many others. RIP David. YOu are not forgotten. C+C forever!

    what were they to do roll martha all over the stage like Violet Beauregarde ? Amazing voice but she would of been laughed off stage as some joke esp. in the 90s when looks were EVERYTHING madonna , britney , jlo are not known for the most amazing voices but their looks and performance if they were 460 pounds would they still be just as famous eating cake on stage out of breath and sweat dripping down their rolls right !?!

  • @mariekeletaonatamole6215

    Shame on Zelma Davis Stealing it from Martha Wash. God these people had no second thought about anything. All talented but dishonest not hesitating to put themselves forward by crushing Martha. I'm wondering how they are now, older and not so famous anymore.
