  • As much as 2020 was a horrible year for most people. I had a great year creating this channel and working on my One Tonner. The forced isolation and not being able to travel has given me more time to concentrate on finishing off this One Tonner that I have had for 16 years and bring it back into 2020 and beyond with a build that I never could of imagined when I first purchased it back many many years ago.
    A big thanks to everyone that has supported the channel and I feel blessed to be able to share this build and experience on CZcams.
    Plenty more to come in 2021.

    What about the Holden colour platinum? Its a silver with a slight cakey green tint. I also cut out the back of the cabin and made a tool box for the interior with sheet metal for my HQ one tonner. I finished it 20 years ago and it still looks good and turns heads. The tool box expands the interior and keeps crap away from your feet. It will need to be decided on before doing paint prep. I enjoy watching your tonner come along it brings back memories, except the rust cutting. Mine didn't have any being a western NSW farm Ute in its hard labour days.

    • @ShenkeGarage
      @ShenkeGarage  Před 3 lety

      Good stuff... I like the idea of the toolbox but I think I come too far to put one in. I wont be using it other than literally sunday cruiser so might not really need it. I wish I had no rust repairs but unfortunately I encountered a lot rust repairs than anticipated. Thanks for watching the videos and glad they bring back memories for you....

    Sam, great job for 2020 mate, look forward to your videos in 2021. Can you give me a run down on the specs and power/torque of the engine and auto/converter. Thanks 👍🏻

    • @ShenkeGarage
      @ShenkeGarage  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks Mate... The engine Made about 440 HP @ 6000 RPM. Peak Torque was 423 ft/pd @ 4300 on the Engine Dyno. It has more potential if I put in a bigger cam but wanted it to be street friendly. The Torque converter I think it was 3500 Stall converter.

    I love yellow on the older Holdens, I know it's not exciting but I reckon a charcoal/gunmetal would look amazing.
    Like a slightly darker Eleanor colour 👌
