- As much as 2020 was a horrible year for most people. I had a great year creating this channel and working on my One Tonner. The forced isolation and not being able to travel has given me more time to concentrate on finishing off this One Tonner that I have had for 16 years and bring it back into 2020 and beyond with a build that I never could of imagined when I first purchased it back many many years ago.
A big thanks to everyone that has supported the channel and I feel blessed to be able to share this build and experience on CZcams.
Plenty more to come in 2021. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Enjoying the build. Motivational indeed.
Good timing, out in the shed working on mine as we speak. (Sent home from work due to rain 😭). Good to see how far your Ute has come. I’m yrs away from getting mine to the same point yours is up to.
Haha may aswell use the time to get it finished....
Cheers for the 2020 videos of your one tonner. Bring on 2021
Thanks Mate... 2021 will be a good year I can tell...
Powering on through champion, well done mate.
Always look forward to your video content.
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.
Keep it up mate loving it about to start mine soon but loving watching your progress
Thanks for watching mate. Good luck with yours....
Keep at it with the tig, it's a great new skill to learn. Make sure u turn your fan off, you'll see what I mean! Thanks for sharing.
No Worries Mate.... Yeah I plan on practicing. Is just very frustrating having to grind back the tungsten after every pass ha.
Well done Sam, another good episode! Can't wait to see your progress in 2021 mate, 2020 has been a very productive year for you! Keep it the good work mate and thanks for the entertainment and tips 👍💪🤙
Thanks for the support Mate. Looking forward to see where 2021 goes.
Good stuff as always Sam. Ute is coming along great mate. Good thing you got the cab blasted to find those other hidden areas of mess.
Keep up the good work mate and look forward to seeing this beast finished in 21.
Makes me want to pull my finger out and get my XB done.
Yeah Mate glad I did. This cab has been a never ending battle of finding poorly done repair jobs.
Do it Mate. Keen the XB sorted. Tough car...
Nice one mate. Coming along 👍👍
Thanks Mate.... Get out in the shed....
Great work with the channel mate, been watching since your first video as I was building a shed at the time, you're producing some quality content, congrats on the 1000 subs, well done!! Can't wait to watch more of your awesome content in 2021!
Thanks for watching from the beginning Mate. Things have come a long way from 7 months ago....
Excellent work mate
Thank you! Cheers!
Keep up the good work Mate.
Thanks, will do!
looks good Mate..
Thank you! Cheers!
Well done mate you’ve come a long way I’m way off finishing my Tonner, excellent job happy new year.
Happy new year to you too and good luck finishing off your Tonner.
Shenke Garage thank you mate will give it a good crack this year haha
What about the Holden colour platinum? Its a silver with a slight cakey green tint. I also cut out the back of the cabin and made a tool box for the interior with sheet metal for my HQ one tonner. I finished it 20 years ago and it still looks good and turns heads. The tool box expands the interior and keeps crap away from your feet. It will need to be decided on before doing paint prep. I enjoy watching your tonner come along it brings back memories, except the rust cutting. Mine didn't have any being a western NSW farm Ute in its hard labour days.
Good stuff... I like the idea of the toolbox but I think I come too far to put one in. I wont be using it other than literally sunday cruiser so might not really need it. I wish I had no rust repairs but unfortunately I encountered a lot rust repairs than anticipated. Thanks for watching the videos and glad they bring back memories for you....
Sam, great job for 2020 mate, look forward to your videos in 2021. Can you give me a run down on the specs and power/torque of the engine and auto/converter. Thanks 👍🏻
Thanks Mate... The engine Made about 440 HP @ 6000 RPM. Peak Torque was 423 ft/pd @ 4300 on the Engine Dyno. It has more potential if I put in a bigger cam but wanted it to be street friendly. The Torque converter I think it was 3500 Stall converter.
@@ShenkeGarage thanks mate. What size cam? Hydraulic flat tappet or small solid?
Good stuff man, can't you just get stainless wire for your mig and weld stainless?
I probably could but not sure how good the welds will look. New video out tomorrow on the exhaust.
@@ShenkeGarage good luck with it, I have a xy falcon I want to do the same thing with and hopefully pull off a video series like yours along the way
@@ozjado Nice one. There needs to be more Australian content. Not really a whole lot out there unless you like slideshows of photos with a weird song playing.
I love yellow on the older Holdens, I know it's not exciting but I reckon a charcoal/gunmetal would look amazing.
Like a slightly darker Eleanor colour 👌
I think the charcoal/gunmetal look amazing too. I was kind of thinking that as well.
@@ShenkeGarage Yeah not going to be as rare as candy yellow, but damn it looks good.
Agreed
I'd go for a 2 piece tailshaft mate
Potentially I may have too if the chromoly wont be strong enough
Never ever paint yellow. I've done it and hated it
Just hated the colour or hate applying it?
