    I still remember reading CAR magazine's story of Ron Stratton picking up his GTO from the factory and bringing it back to the UK. I used to love going to Wilmslow as a kid in the 70's and 80's and visiting Ian Anthoney's and Strattons. Porsche and Ferrari heaven.

      @@carnatono personally.i think the gto is one of the most beautiful mid engined cars ever designed. I like the Enzo but some angles it's kind of awkward looking .

    Of all of them, I'd take the 288GTO every time. Don't like auto/ paddle shifts, love the analogue raw appeal, and it looks like a muscular 308. Gorgeous. I just don't get seduced by the LaFerrari, don't like the side window designs on the Enzo (reminds me a Skoda Roomster!)

    Absolutely stunning. I remember when the 288 GTO came out and I thought, “THIS is what the 308/328 SHOUKD have looked like!” They were similar, but the extra width and larger spoiler on the 288 just made it look like a beast. That 812GTS at the end was a stunner, as well. Well done.

    Fantastic presentation. I was taken around Brands GP in a 288 GTO a while ago. Even then it was the most valuable car out there. Its a lovely thing.

    I first saw the Enzo at the 2002 motorshow too, NEC Birmingham, it was hung on a wall as I remember, and was incredible!

    I wish they had maintained the manual gearbox as an option on enzos and LaFs. I always wanted my Big 5 in various blues. F50 is the dream.

    The real head scratcher is that for the same money you could buy 1/5th of a 60’s Ferrari GTO. As much as I love a GTO, I would buy these five and maybe a few others and keep the change. Lol. Awesome video as always! The F40 was my favorite car as a kid and probably always will be.

    The reason that journalists wasnt ok testdrive the f50 was because it was slower then the f40 and Ferrari knew that. F40 is a beast

    I had a 288gto in 1983 and used to park it overnight on my drive in Goldhawk Road, Shepherds Bush in London. Traded it for a house in Acton which I still own😂 car’s done a bit better financially🤷🏻‍♂️

    Similar, one owner Ferrari collection in Northern Ireland. Testarossa, F40, 599GTO, 458 Speciale, F12 TdF, LAF & LAF Aperta. Absolute dream collection and occasionally on display for charity shows etc.

    My order most favorite to least:
    1. GTO
    2. F40
    3. LaFerrari
    4. Enzo
    I’m not fond of the F50, it just seems like a softer F40 or a watered-down Enzo, but if I had the other four I’d feel compelled to add it to the collection for collection’s sake.

    The Carrera GT was something I haven't thought of as a comparison but agree (as someone who has driven neither LOL) ! Have you met Ian Poulter yet/before? I know he has quite the collection and seems he's in your neck of the woods. ;)

    I was like 5-6 years old when the enzo unveiled. And I remember that I thought it looked like a f1 car with a body build around it because the nose for me was similar to an f1 car. Since then it was Ferrari number 1 for me. In f1, on the road and in other racing series. Most beautifull automotive brand of them all

      I was just thinking about that. $11mil for 5 of the cleanest Ferraris or $20m for an F1 McLaren? They should have displayed the Ferrari 250 or 250LM which are VERY expensive nowadays. Have a great day!

    i would replace the 288 GTO in the big 5 with a Ferrari 512 TestaRossa (1991), the side intakes of the 512 TR is just so iconic, it was the poster car of ferrari going up against the countach

    Man that is a beautiful collection of Ferrari Cars! Ferrari is so much classier, nicer, better built, better looking, sounding & performing than Lamborghini/Audi by a long shot! Only other car manufacturers that compares to the over all quality/Performance of Ferrari is Mclaren, Porsche & Aston Martin.

    Rosa Corsa just says "Ferrari", but a Yellow or Black version of any top 5 Ferrari's is just cool. I've even seen Blue iterations & it just seems more rare & exclusive. Great showcase James!

    I do feel like one is most attracted to the cars that were released when car consciousness started. For me the F40 is the one I desire the most. 8 year old me wouldn’t have it any other way.

      I do I had the Magazine. As long as I can remember I have liked cars and I loved/love Ferraris. To be honest I thought their opinion was harsh, it was such a departure from what Ferrari had previously released so I understood the shock. I was a bit conflicted about some aspects of it, but over time it grew on me and I think it is an amazing machine.

    I've seen all 5 at a autoshow and the dark lighting conditions and them being super waxed, they did not look as good as i thought they would. The Laferrari by itself looked very special however. I know it would have been a different story if i saw one or all on the road.

    Pardon my ignorance but does the 40 and 50 represent something in the F40 and F50, and is there an F60 in the works?

      The F40 is a twin turo 4.0 litre V8 and the F50 is a 5.0 litre V12 N/A so yes- the numbers correspond to their engine displacement.

    If money were no object I would choose the 288 GTO and the F40. For me the 288 GTO is the most beautiful Ferrari made after the 1960’s 250 models.

    They also made 100 cars for the US market 🏎🔧🇺🇸 And one was auctioned off aswell...
    So a total of 500 cars.

    Among these 5...? Well, I have always loved the 288GTO! And I was so young... ages before internet... years before I start buying car magazines... Yet the lines of that car stayed carved in my mind!!! Then came the F40, but I had already fallen in love with the Countach! :) The F50, it never got my attention. The Enzo... I used to love it, but it's fading.... E poi, quella ultima. La Ferrari? Quale Ferrari? Boh

    Enzo was at the 2002 Birmingham NEC car show they had the black Enzo on show. I'd have the F40.
