Roy looks disappointed in this scene. My prediction for their relationship in season 3 is they already broke up or maybe in the process of breaking up. Roy seems like he rethinking back about his relationship with Keeley cause this whole season is just him wanting to confirm his relationship with Keeley but in the end, Keeley drops a bomb that by looking at his face hurt him. I can't ignore his body language that literally says “i don't think I want this”. He takes that rejection personally because he already dreaming about them being together cause those tickets are for both of them not just for him and maybe he already thinks that she won’t have time for him like before. I just feel so sad for Roy cause he is so happy about it.

If anything I seem them being broken up for maybe 3 episodes. The creative team would be real stupid to break up one of the most popular ships on the show. Also need to remember this is probably the longest relationship either of them have been in so there's still some learning curves to get through

Roy/Keeley are one of the best and strongest relationships/dynamics on Ted Lasso! This whole thing is just a red herring by the writers to keep us guessing and draw us back in for s3. The whole Jamie thing was a red herring and ended well. Roy/Keeley are gonna be more than fine!
This kind of disregards how Roy feels. Roy feels that Keeley doesn’t care about the prospect of him being gone for 6 weeks. That’s a pretty long time. And she didn’t even bat an eye sending him away. Doesn’t exactly make him feel wanted.
Have you ever seen Cheers? This is same way that Sam and Diane break up, with her insuring that after they don’t see each other after a while, they’ll still be together, but him understanding that it’s the end

I get that it's supposed to be romantic, but that's a big deal, and she had a very valid response. Even if he were to stay in town, if she is supposed to open up her own firm in that time, she would likely be working so much that they wouldn't have that much time together anyway, which is likely why she said he should enjoy himself. I hope they have a conversation about it because neither of them is wrong here.

People watching this scene and saying they're not drifting apart aren't listening to what the story is telling them. Listen to the music, listen to Roy's voice, look at his face. Keely is telling him to go to another country for 6 weeks so she can focus on work, and he's devastated. This is a blow to their relationship no matter how you look at it. "I'll see you in six weeks"? Pay attention, dudes. I know their relationship has been fantastic to see grow so far and this is a hurdle they'll overcome in all likelihood, but don't act like a door isn't locked because you want to walk through.
When you mention the music playing during the scene, it's the same music that's playing during the scene where he makes her a bath to apologize in 2x7, it plays in multiple scenes between them regardless of what's going on, it's their song. I think its a cop out, if it's not i'm gonna be really pissed and sad!

He became vulnerable thanks to her. Once again, even a followup "amended clip description" is a lie - they are NOT drifting apart, Keeley says she loves him and she wants him to go on holiday/vacation that he has not taken since he was 12 years old, and she really, really wants to go with him but she can't go because she is starting a new job/a new company. Again, she says she loves him very, very much and that they are NOT breaking up, NOT drifting apart, etc. Plus, the ending of the episode says "2 months later" when they show Nat is the new Coach of Rupert's soccer team that he bought, 2 months = 8 weeks, so Roy has gone on holiday/vacation (or maybe he didn't and he stayed to support and help Keeley) and has gotten back, so everybody is at or all the teams are at the new season's training camp, so don't you think they would also throw in another added cliff-hanger at the end showing something over those 8 weeks of some "trouble" between Roy and Keeley to people gossiping and coming back for more?
not rlly a break up, especially leaving it open ended at the end of the season. Hopefully we will see them grow as individuals and come back stronger than ever during season 3 :)
@Lili Applauds it may be a reasonable thought but it's not a "good" surprise. People (generally) need time to prepare and to make arrangements and to get their head around the idea.
@razcalking you must have had some seriously toxic relationships if you think time apart is bad and is going to end the relationship. Healthy relationships aren't like that at all.

If she has to open her own firm in the next few months, she's likely going to be too busy to hang out with him even if he stayed, so she tells him to do something enjoyable while he has time off. This seems like something that can be resolved with a simple conversation but the comments are making it seem like they are doomed when they have been shown to work through things by communicating in the past.
Keeley and Roy has such a beautiful, healthy relationship. It was one of my favourite things about this show. This is so heartbreaking.
