We bought a full set of Durand forms about 20+ years ago. I want to say they cost close to 100k for a big set, pins, wedges, wailers, walkers, and all your outside and inside corners and odd forms. We run 9' forms, the biggest are 30" wide. They have paid for themselves many many times over. I like that round over form for the tops of Retaining walls a lot. We have the same get-up, with the crane truck and cages. Used to have to carry them all by hand out of the walk out basement and around and up the hill. Those were tough days. Lol. The big ones that we use most often weigh around 100 lbs. You have to get used to carrying them. Nice work guys.

Ima go ahead and assume they’re lighter than the 30+ year old duraform and advance panels me and my co workers lug and stack day in and day out?

Really cool work. How thick is that Aluminum plate? Maybe 1/8" plate? Some of the cross members look like they are some sort of aluminum channel maybe 2" deep, maybe 1' on center. The parts where the guy was tapping with the hammer, maybe 3/8" thick aluminum?

I can't imagine how much these forms cost. It was $80 for a 2' x 8' marine plywood 4 bar Advance panel when I was a youngster.

Breen Ouellette I think the idea here is the texture in the concrete forms. It's a retaining wall, so no insulation is required. It just has to be strong and pretty.
I built foundations for about 10 years back in the 80s, 90s. We had wooden forms with built in latches. I stopped because my back couldn't take it anymore. I heard the disc pop.
If insulated concrete forms were around back then, I'd still be in that business. They are night and day different from the old way of building house foundations.
Today's kids don't know how lucky they are to be able to work ICFs.

"Retaining wall" Why retain the dirt, use it as a berm, you have enough distance away from the house. It looks like they're aiming to retain people away from their property.
A bull-nose and texturing doesn't change a thing; it still looks like a prison wall.
There's nothing like an old and rustic corral fence and some trees to delimit your property. Unless your neighbors are out to stab you...

haha look how slow these old guys are moving..they definitely need these aluminum forms, ,advanced concrete forms would destroy them,, advanced panels are 40lbs a piece an that's only the 4foooters,,5ft 8ft 9ft would kill these guys
