I love how the interesting part of a Landrover trip is the landrover having a rest... can relate.

This is the most enjoyable 18 minutes I have had in a very long time. Absolutely fantastic filming, score and content. The old 109 going up that ridge at 15:30 tugs at my heartstrings as the true sense of classic rovering adventure!
    Thank you!

Good thing Damo put a lock on the shed door, otherwise you might find the old truck round my house. Impressive roadside fix on that motor by the way.

Always locked! Was a win! Had great guidance over the phone with people who did the job in their workshops back in the day.
      Cheers

You have, in my opinion, the best Land Rover channel on all of CZcams, congratulations, thank you for your content, I learn and am entertained a lot. I have a series 3 (Santana). A greeting from Spain. Pablo

My first trip to Cooma was with the LROCV back in 1968, I think. It was so cold, and we ended up sleeping in the Series 2.

Knowing that someone used a part that they kept in thier workshop for 17 years will not help me clean up my shed.

Holden parts in a Land Rover will always be a weak link

Was my own fault not replacing the fibre timing gear prior to leaving..and I do like the fact I can still go to a repco store and buy parts off the shelf.
      Thanks for watching

You would not need to go to Repco with the Land Rover engine because it would not fail like that!
I share your name and am also a mechanic.
Thanks for the vids.@@seriouslyseriesaustralia Later blue holden motors has nylon gears driving the distributors, I know because I had to drive a car with such an engine and it stripped, just like yours, leaving me stranded.
I keep away from holden stuff.
