Strength Arcana raises your damage for being low health
Also, Antler keepsake gives you bonus crit rate for having less than 30 hp
I don't believe I had Strength arcana active for this one, since it's quite pricey grasp wise and I still haven't decided on an optimal load out for this aspect.
But yeah, I want to switch to Antler for the remaining biomes, and for that I want to pre-damage to 30 HP since I have no healing vow. Arachne gives a large chunk of armor. If I'm playing well I'd like to keep that armor, but if I'm above 30 HP after hecate I'd need to lose the armor to activate the Antler, so I lose it in Arachne to ensure that I'm at 30 HP prior to taking a big chunk of armor.

Is there a reason you take Frinos instead of Toula? Ik the hp didn’t matter much since you intentionally damaged during Artemis but is there any other reason besides the Hecate sheep being more convenient to just block?
It's a speed run, being able to block the sheep saves a lot of time, effort and more consistent in trying to avoid it by dashing through.
Yeah I like blocking sheep with my lil friendo
less max HP would likely be better because then after popping a DD I'm still in antler range, but it's not too too bad I've found and I like blocking sheep. Either is definitely an option though.
Isnt Origination gonna deal more than just Aphro attack?
Yes but you’ll probably apply origination through your cast anyway so just get any cast that inflicts a curse plus gale force for easy activation.
@@maco5152 Have you made any Hephaestus builds work with the axe?
Origination is +50% eventually, while aphro is almost that much more than any other % based attack (and you get it chamber 1), especially after a pom or two, and you can still end up with origination. Aphro is so much early damage that I'm hard pressed to pass it up, and I think it ends up similar if not better lategame as well.
@@flraijin not yet. I haven't had any run while maining hephaestus. I just find his attack and special boons having a long cooldown lol
