I did ballet when I was really little... I quit, but I loved drawing pointe shoes when I was little. I was so obsessed. Though I do not take ballet lessons nor train I still love watching other people with this amazing talent.
My dream company is the Houston ballet. whenever I feel like giving up on ballet, I watch this video. It reminds me what I'm working for. It also reminds me to have fun while I'm dancing and stop taking it so seriously. I hope to one day to be able to be in the Houston ballet and become as amazing as Aria. She dances with so much happiness and grace.
When I watch this, I'm not so much in love with all the perfection of her art form. Although it's amazing, but as a fellow dancer I'm more in awe of how happy she looks while she dances. Her joy is clear on her face and I think that's what we should all be working towards besides perfection.
I cry everytime I watch this. Aria´s smile when she´s dancing is just so beautiful and inspiring... you can easily notice how much she loves ballet and that´s what I love the most about being a ballerina. Almost five years since this video was uploaded, it´s still my favorite.
I've been to 1 ballet....and was the only one (in our group) who enjoyed it....well, maybe I should say appreciated it. I love to watch professionals do what they do....weather it's a dancer or a doctor....the best of the best entertains me. The second these dancers move....I can tell they've put in a LOT of time and dedication. To totally commit to anything is a sacrifice to be sure....but those who succeed are a minority. It must be grueling, hard work to get to this level. I totally appreciate these dancers showing how graceful a human can be on a completely solid surface. Thank you so much Aria Alekzander....
I love how she looks so happy and healthy. I remember watching a recent documentary on a certain prima ballerina from the Kirov theatre in Russia. She looked gaunt, tired, and depressed. I don't know if that's just her trying make it in a career she didn't really want, or just the way the instructors work their students. Anyways, it always pleases me to see people actually HAPPY with their performance careers, or any careers for that fact.
Aria Alekzander you are my two year old's favorite ballerina. She doesn't want to watch anyone else. She tries to copy you all the time. And she says, again again again, every time we watch you. She can't even say ballerina fully yet, allrina LOL but she knows she loves you.
If you love to dance, they i say go for it! If you have another passion elsewhere, then go for that! You'll never get far watching other people all your life. 1 Corinthians 10:31 - "So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
I love ballet. I love to train for the exams. I prepare myself more for the ballet exams than for the school tests. But when I talk in ballet at school everybody tells me it's very easy and I should not be proud to dance balle. They tell me that I should forget the Ballet.But when I see this video I remember that the ballet is fantastic and that if I like it I will never have to give up.
Me too. They say to me that it's too easy and I have to stop it but I love dance and anyone will say to me what will I do. If you like it, don't stop it!!!!

Anyone who says that Ballet is easy are just flat out idiots. Ballet dancers work just as hard as atheletes. I believe that it is a physical sport as well as a beautiful form of performing arts.

He ranted that they often get up, work out for a few hours, then rehearse for another six hours, and then repeat this 5-6 days a week. He said flat out, ballet dancers are more athletic than professional football players.

To all the people complaining they are too old to start. You arent! anyone can do ballet. Thats what the classes are for. Go for it. Those of you who said you've done it before but quit it doesnt matter you can still go back you'll probably pick it up faster this time round. Keep calm and stretch!
i started ballet at 6. but i had to stop because idk if this is what i really want. it seems like whatever i do, my efforts weren't enough and i don't even appreciate this form of dance before because it looks like you are only hurting yourself for nothing. But when I grew up, i've realized that ballet is a beautiful form of art. Discipline and passion can make your thorns into flower during performances. But i feel too old to get back on the track. I'm hoping that someday, I can also grow like a rose as well as them.
She is gorgeous and I love her smile! Most ballet dancers have the most serious expressions... glad to see a change. You can tell she loves what she's doing because she radiates happiness and there's a glow in her eyes.
I remember when I saw this video, I was about 11 years old and I always said that I wanted to be like her, now I am 17 and I am currently applying to a degree in dance, it is nice to have memories of my beginnings in dance and to be reminded by these types of videos (I have been dancing since I was 6 years old and since then I have not stopped dancing)

Never to late! Started dancing this year at the age of 21, I love it! Other people in my classes are well over my age as well, we have people from 16 to people in their 30's, 40's and sometimes in their 50's =)
Un-believable. Thanks for posting AnaheimBallet. Its great to see these people training. I suppose I never thought of them as humans; they were always just these little bouncy things on a stage somewhere.
I watch this one a lot when my health issues are interfering with my dancing. When I feel down it brings me up. There is so much joy in it! So it reminds me that the joy is what it is really about.
she is honestly... wow. head to her toes... does anyone else LOVE her feet en-pointe? even in that last jump her feet.... and in her arabesque(i know, i spelt it wrong) her foot is PERFECTLY sickled out!!!! SOOOOOOOOO perfect!
This is like a huge slap in my face for stopping ballet when I was 7. I'm 16 now and still dance but I've lost a lot of my flexibility and can't even do the splits now T_T Probably never gunna be able to restart ballet again...
@ Keiti Kitty- I did the same exact thing as you; started at 5/6 stopped when I was 10, but I picked ballet up again at 14 and I fell in love with it. Needless to say, I am not great, but you don't have to be amazing or even good to enjoy yourself. I try to let myself laugh at my mistakes and remember I am just learning. Its fun, so just try to have fun and not worry too much.
she has a lovely smile!! wonderful. all the ballet documentaries I've watched tend to portray ballet as something that requires so much hard work and dedication (and it definitely does!!) but also somehow super stressed out and almost a bit gloomy....but here it's portrayed in such an uplifting way which is great! :)

If you start late ballet you'll never be a ballerina, you need to start at 11 years old (maximum) or at 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 years old.
