I haven't been able to watch all of these yet so I'm not sure you've you've mentioned this, but my favorite detail is that the song playing with the first reveal of Ed's flag (not in the French people story, when they reveal that Izzy's boss is Blackbeard) is the dies irae. Quick background on the dies irae, it's an old Latin song that directly translates to Day of Wrath, but is frequently used to signify the dead (it's actually a musical motif you may have heard in things like the music of Sweeney Todd (totally recommend looking into it's usage in that show because it's incredible), Nightmare Before Christmas, and the Shining theme). Therefore the dies irae playing when they show Blackbeard's flag for the first time- Our Flag Means Death. A little silly but one of my favorite nerdy things!
edit: immediately after writing this i realized that the dies irae does also in fact appear in black Pete's story, i believe only once the fictionalized Blackbeard appears on deck. Im sure someone much smarter than me could explain the symbolism and put together an actual explanation to the percieved threat and death association we are initially shown vs how we see him later, but y'know
