@@jimmymb20 I play bass on this tune with my band. That little bit is just an embellishment. It's like a little filler lick. I dont think it's a mistake at all. It's just a chance for him to get a few solo notes in. My band leaves this part off and I play a simple bass line based on the chords, but I get a few bass runs in when I can. Maybe we should try adding this in. This is a wonderful version of a wonderful song!
Im 63 and been a metal guy....a hard rocker......classic rock etc. and have always loved this song because it brought kids back that were missing.
